Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning MMC! It's looking like it could rain at any minute. I have my car windows open...lol...keeping my eye on it!

Our cabinet maker called yesterday afternoon - he wants to install cabinets NEXT WEEK instead of in 2 weeks!!! EEK! But exciting!!! It should work out, just puts the pressure on to get everything painted - before Monday! Flooring will be installed Mon/Tues/Wed & cabinets Thur/Fri! Busy week! I have my name on the calendar to be off this week Thursday if I need an extra day for painting - hopefully I won't need to use it though. We'll see!!!

Good Morning...Yawnnnnnnn.... I seriously did not want to get out from underneath the covers this morning, boy, the bed was feeling really comfortable than usual this morning~

Yes, I am in serious need of a three cup morning this morning~ one good thing, I got to the office and saw that half of the office is signed out today, including my boss and his boss and his bosses boss....if you catch my drift; lol... Hmmmm maybe a nap, few games of Mahjong Titans, and house searching on the internet may be in order for today......:lol:

I did get a few more fall decorations out yesterday. I did not get as much done around the house yesterday like I wanted to, I was exhausted and ended up laying around and watching TV. Not very productive but I guess I needed the rest. Today is a new day!!! =)

I don't know what is up but I am having difficulties trying to reply to others. Hard to explain but when I hit reply only part of other's post come up and get jumbled together and I have to keep messing with it trying to reply. Well, I know what I am trying to say but it's not making sense when I type it out!!! :lol: I will have to figure it out later.

With that in mind, I cannot catch up on here and the grandkids just got here so I need to tend to them.

My daughter has her post-op visit with her doctor later this afternoon. Hopefully that goes well. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house and I may also do some more dorm shopping. I need to go back to Bed, Bath & Beyond for more stuff. This college checklist is never ending!

Thanks - it is exciting! Still a long way from being done though, but we'll get there. Our tile guy showed up yesterday & he is making an even bigger mess in our yard. Piles of dirt & holes everywhere. Hoping it doesn't rain today so he can work on it some more!!!!

It's coming along! Hubby is working on putting some drywall up where they took out the soffit... I'm planning to start painting tonight! We just repainted our dining/tv room area a few years ago & I'm hoping to not have to re-paint it again! (I still like it) Problem is, our trim work isn't going to go up as high on our walls where we took out carpet & will be putting in laminate, so I'll need to paint- just a small strip - right above the trim work....and go figure, I don't have ANY of that paint color left. I'm hoping the hardware store can mix up another can of it for me & being so close to the trim work - you won't be able to see it. I really, really don't want to re-paint ALL of those walls. LOL!! Hopefully I'll know after tonight!! xx Will be ripping out the bathroom probably tomorrow night - then I need to paint in there too!!! And the utility room. Will be painting ceilings tonight too.

Mom is doing ok, thank you for asking. Still having some pain, but no longer using the cane! And attempted gold yesterday, still waiting to hear how that went.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm still humming songs from Elizabeth's play. It's funny, I still think I missed some of the story (thanks to Merry Carey for filling in some blanks!).

I believe it comes from so many people raised in south Georgia, USA trying to speak with an English accent LOL. I didn't understand what some of them were saying. They had a dialect coach, but "you cain't learn some folks".

I had a busy afternoon yesterday, putting up a rental sign in a nearby town, then a Bellville council meeting. Cold pizza for supper.
