Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a busy evening again. Jacob's new band practices out-of-town on Tuesday nights from 7 to 9 pm. That boy has to get his driver's license!

It's still nice in the mornings this week, but it'll be back in the upper 90's by the weekend. We're planning a stay in a nearby cabin for the three-day weekend with Nancy's family, so it should be fun. Lulu gets to spend the weekend at my mom's. She loves it there, and my mom loves Lulu as much as we do. She'll be so spoiled, she might not want to come home on Monday!

Awe - lucky Lulu!!! Have a safe trip & fun time at the cabin. Sounds like a great weekend! We are going away with my family for a night in September (Going to made's neck of the woods) - will need to find somebody to watch Gracie for the 1st time. EEK! Who will want the wild thing??? :lol:

Well after having the fabric of my lawn chair rip earlier and send me falling over backwards, I think it's time to kick back in trusty recliner and watch a little Countdown to Christmas on QVC. It's going to be a 2 hour show and it's starting at the top of the hour!!!

Tomorrow is the first day of school for the boys, hard to believe summer vacation is over. My wife went back today after missing yesterday for the funeral. Her students also start tomorrow.
I took the boys to the zoo today as a way to give them a little more attention after this weekend of having to be with friends of ours while we were at the wake & funeral. We felt we needed to give them that for being so patient and understanding. Of course while we were at the zoo, we saw Carl and his buddy.

Good morning from me!
I am back from visiting my cousins in Vilnius. Although I spent less time there than expected (4 days), we did quite a lot and attended many events because the country celebrated 25th anniversary of the Baltic Way. I still don't have the pictures because most of them were taken by my cousin.
I am flying back to Scotland on 19th - finally purchased my ticket yesterday. To be honest, I am looking forward to new academic year. ^^ For now, I don't have any more plans for the remaining time I am home but I am sure I will figure something out. :]

Good Morning......Horrible Morning.....I made a coffee just to find out that no milk is there.....and I only drink coffee with milk!!!!

That is horrible!!! :lol: I cannot go without creamer in my coffee (non-dairy of course) but I must have it. =)

Make sure to visit the 'Pines this evening for the final open house of August.
Carl is a bit tight lipped -- and you haven't lived until you've seen a tight-lipped camel -- but it may be in the nature of a "Farewell to Summer" theme.
Sounds a bit sad but not to worry. With Carl in charge, it's sure to be a blast!

Oh I love staying in cabins! We use to go to Turner Falls every other year around Christmas time to stay in a cabin. Also, Wayne and I stayed in one up in Maryland during the fall, it was beautiful!!! Have fun!!!

Happy Wednesday to you!

Yesterday's headache is still here and I'm not feeling well in general. I worked through it yesterday, but today I'm staying home to try to beat it.

Also some sad news yesterday. One of Gloria's kitties, Pumpkin, was very ill and had to be put to sleep yesterday. Gloria is devastated, and I'm sad myself. When we visited, he used to curl up in my lap and go to sleep. In some ways he was a little stinker, but still a very sweet cat.

I am so sorry to hear about Pumpkin. That is such a sweet little picture that you posted of him! Send Gloria my condolences.

I hope that headache goes away and you feel better soon!

Not too much going on today. I have a couple of quick errands to run this morning. Then I'm taking the girls to Chipolte for lunch. It's a beautiful sunny day so we just plan on hanging out around the pool this afternoon. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Happy Hump Day!!

Not much going on at work today. Could be a long day!

My Dad went in for an upper GI yesterday & was told his bleeding ulcer is healed. YAY!! That was good news! Our new room is all enclosed - windows are in - they are putting shingles on today - and we got an inch of rain in 30 minutes late afternoon/early evening yesterday....and we got water in the crawlspace again. It's coming in through the drain hole. OH NO! Hopefully they can get it fixed quick - we can't keep having water in there every time it rains!! Our electrician friend was over last night. He has the kitchen pretty much ready so hopefully tonight he can start in the new room! He worked until 1:30 am again - I'm tired. LOL! Keep the coffee coming!!!

Thanks snowflake! He was pretty happy to hear that! He deserved some good news! I brought him supper last night (pureed) - now hopefully the next good news will be that he can eat solid food again. xx Poor guy! (but at least he can eat/taste food)
