My daughter's boyfriend had an accident, that is his car in the picture. Thankfully my daughter wasn't in the car and no one else was hurt. I say a prayer every time one of my kids drive or get in somebody's car. It's so scary when they're young and inexperienced drivers.

I am glad no one was hurt!

I am suppose to go see Aretha Franklin with my mom tonight but not sure if I can go. I woke up around 3 am running a fever and nauseated. I am still feeling a bit rough so we had to find someone else to take my place in case I cannot go. My son plans to go with her if I can't. He is 24 years old and I had no idea he would be interested in seeing Aretha but he said he would love to go! He actually loves all kinds of music from every generation and every genre. So it might be a grandma/grandson night out instead of mother/daughter. He thinks grandma is cool and I agree!

This is my mom's birthday present to see Aretha and she is super excited! Aretha is her all time favorite artist.

I hope you feel better soon and that your mom has a great time tonight!!!

Today is forecast to be rather stormy in the great New York City Metro Area as the heat wave finally breaks. Luckily, we're heading down the shore to Barnegat for a friends birthday party at their shore house and then staying overnight in Seaside Park. A last hurrah to summer of sorts. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!! 95 here and the only color change Florida does is around January and that's just a muddy brown. LOL So if no one would be in violation of their state's botany or EPA laws, I'd welcome a box of colored leaves of any kind.

My grandfather and aunt used to send me envelopes and small boxes of them, but that was many years ago and I surely do miss the changing colors of Pennsylvania. So ready to go home. [emoji2]

My cranberry wreaths and garlands are out though and my fall foliage and pumpkins will be appearing shortly.

I am still feeling bad and have a few more hours to decide if I am going to the concert or not - that is if I improve. My boss told me that he has me covered for work tomorrow if I don't improve. Sure don't want to miss work at all and going to make every attempt to go but I am glad he will have someone there in my place in case I cannot make it.

Last time I was sick my boss had someone come in for me but I improved and insisted I would be there and I am okay. He didn't believe me, tried to make me stay home and brought someone in anyway. I still showed up for work! Lol! He finally realized I was okay and sent the other person home. They really didn't want to come in anyway on a Sunday, they had other plans! I will probably have to put up a fight to go to work tomorrow if I am better. :lol: I love the people I work for!
