HeLLO!! Worked out this AM, got some cleaning done, walked Jude to school and chatted with some of my mom friends and now I Am sitting here with with first pumpkin spice latte of the season! I actually made it myself (just pumpkin spice coffee, added some sugar because that's how I like it!!) then I microwaved some milk and frothed it with a whisk for about 30 seconds, poured some milk in and spooned the frothed milk on top and gently tapped some cinnamon on top just for fun!!

I am thinking about maybe doing a fall craft with Noel later, we will see! It's a beautiful, overcast cool day. Feeling very fall-ish and grateful for this wonderful time of year.

You have been busy! Sounds like a very productive morning =]

Mmmm! Pumpkin spice latte! Enjoy!!

Have a beautiful Fall day, friend!! [emoji316][emoji258]

Now that Turtle is here I can tell you how he came to us.

I am not a dog person, I never really have been. I haven't had a dog since I was 15-16 years old. My wife and her family are dog people, my wife has wanted a Chocolate Lab for years.

Turtle is a Chocolate Lab, he is 6 years old and from Tennessee. We received a text from a friend of my wife with his picture, telling us his furparent needed to find a new home for him. His furparent had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and was only given 6 months to year to live, and Turtle was becoming too hard to take care of.

We contacted him and started asking about Turtle, learning about him and asking everything about him. We became very interested and let his furparent know we were. He told us he was giving him away to someone he felt would be good for him and take care of him. He selected us and all we had to do was to pay for the transport of him from Tennessee to Massachusetts. The furparent turns out to be one of the nicest people we have ever talked to, it is bittersweet that we got his baby because of his diagnosis, but we are lucky enough to be the ones he chose to take care of Turtle.

Turtle is a great dog, very smart, well trained and loves the kids. It made the decision easy to take him since we didn't have to go through the puppy stages, being my first dog in 20+ years I didn't know if I could handle those stages with 2 young boys and 5 cats.

Day 2 with Turtle has gone well, my wife and kids are adoring him, I am still adjusting to it, but so far it is going well.

(((AWE))) That is a bittersweet story indeed! I hope Turtle adjusts well to his new home ~ and you all adjust well to him. Sending prayers up to his previous owner. I'm sure he is content knowing Turtle is in good hands.

Morning all. It's Monday, again . Try to have a good day folks, we can do it!

Good morning all !!!! You know I keep saying I'm going to stop by everyday and keep up with all the posts, but life keeps seems to be getting in the way.

I am really going to try harder to stop by twice a day. I brightens my day to read everyone's post and see what everyone is up to.

As for me today, off to work in a bit. I start my extra hours this week, 10 am to 8 pm. It may take me a little while to used to all the standing, but we will survive

Hope everyone has a great day. Off to read some post and try to catch up.

Good luck with your new hours!! This place DOES brighten a persons mood! Have a good day!

Good morning good people....

Not a whole lot going on and or planned for this week, It's one of those weeks where it will be day to day to see, what sort of adventure pops up. I will say this though, it sure is a beautiful morning here (temperature), it's a pleasant 56 degrees here in Westminster, Maryland; my kind of temperature....(I can feel Fall in the air).

Well, it's a Monday, not a big fan, my interpretation of a Monday is that when the rest of the world is heading to work, I'd rather be under the covers, checking for holes in my eyelids until 9 or 10 am...

Well, hope everyone had a nice weekend and hopefully, you will have a good day today as well....

I can relate to that Monday feeling. Lol! Have a good day!

Yesterday I told my boss I would be at work and to go ahead and tell the other girl she don't have to come in. Shortly after I text him to tell him that I started feeling bad again but told Wayne too late now, I need to go in. When I got to work my boss said the other girl will be there anyway because he was not sure if I really was up to it. He gave me the decision to either go on home right away or work half a day. A few hours into work I guess he saw I wasn't feeling well so he told me to go home and rest! Wayne came and picked me up and was joking around with my boss and said to me, "good job sweetie on looking sick, your plan worked to come home early and watch the Cowboys play"! Ha ha! My boss started laughing. Well, I get home to watch the Cowboys not doing so well. At half time I text my boss and said, "Can I come back to work, the Cowboys are losing"?! He texted back, "Did you jinx the Cowboys by going home too early"?

Wayne has to go to the doctor this morning. His leg has been achy for nearly a month and now his foot started tingling last week. We are hoping it's just an injury that needs to heal and not anything to do with circulation.

Nice of your boss. Hope you are feeling better today - sending prayers up for Wayne! xx

Good Morning, All.

Yet another new week.
Hard to believe it's the second one of September already.

But is this any easier to believe?
Days to the Season: 66
Days to Christmas Day: 108

Not only that, but as of tomorrow, we will be down to one, lone, solitary week to the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone marker.
Then -- a double-double digit count.
(Hard to believe indeed, my friends. Hard to believe indeed.)

Well, hopefully today begins the promised cooling/lower humidiy trend.
(And with plenty of yard work beckoning, it comes none to soon.)
We have commenced the new week with a light rain and 69 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

YAY! Thanks Crown!

Ya-hooooo! I went to Lowes yesterday afternoon and I stopped back in their patio furniture area and loookey what I saw on the shelves....

Good morning all! Hope everyone has a great day!

I have to work on websites and shopping carts and go get my husband's replacement phone, then meet my parents for dinner and their and Bud's favorite restaurant to celebrate his birthday from last weekend. Will be the first one we celebrate without our son present. Super weird, but by the time Noah gets back, Bud will be on tour again.

Right now I'm trapped in a recliner with a Moose in my lap. Oh woe is me, the shopping cart will have to wait till Moose's nap is over. Boohoo... *sniffle* [emoji316] [emoji319]

Happy Birthday to Bud!

That sounds like an unusually great boss! I hope you and Wayne start feeling better soon!

I feel I work for the best people on earth! :D Yes, I am lucky!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy picked up a plug-in air freshener for my office this weekend, and I just installed it. It's called "Mahogany Teakwood", and it's very manly-smelling, but it might be too strong for my office. I had to have something, though. My office is next door to the restroom LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day!

The image I get of "very strong manly smell" would be sweat and dirt. Sorry, I am terrible at finding something silly in what I read or hear instead of what it REALLY means!!! But it's all in fun and you know that! This is the way Wayne and I communicate all day - never a dull moment. Ha ha! :D

Good morning!
We are going to have a nice day, sun & clouds with a high of 75 degrees. Not too much going on here, typical day of errands and chores. I also have a few phone calls to make. I just got dinner started in the crock pot, beef vegetable soup. It's already starting to smell good in here. I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a wonderful day!

Your soup sounds wonderful!!! Makes me really excited to have a kitchen again!!! Have a great day HMG!

Good morning. Not much is going on here. I hope you all have a great week!

Have a great week Ryan!

I guess you DO need something good smelling in your office. Have a great day Brad!

Well I must quickly give you all Snow-in-Texas health report. His circulation is just fine!!! Thank God! That was our main concern. He is being treated for a sciatic nerve.

Other good news, two weeks ago when he saw his cardiologist his blood pressure was on the high side but not enough to put him on meds. It has always run a bit high. I discussed with Wayne to start eating healthier, low sodium, exercise and he agreed. I already eat healthy majority of the time so he just joined me. His blood pressure went down to 120/81!!! That's the lowest it has ever been! We were so happy to hear that!

I am feeling a lot better today too!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Snowflake, thanks again for asking the chiropractor about back injuries. It seems this is what Wayne has that is causing the problems.

The weather sounds amazing there! I think I am going to come up and join you for a pumpkin spice latte!

Thank you!!! You have a great week too!

Sounds like you had a perfect weekend to me!!!!!!

Fingers crossed that the plumber's can come this week!!!

It just went too fast - always does. LOL! Thanks!

Good morning, everyone.

So starts my third last full week at Passport. I am really counting down these days. I have said it before, but I can't wait to get out of here!

It is a very overcast and foggy morning in Ottawa. At least the temperature is comfortable. Not too sure what is happening this evening other than gym and groceries...

Glad to see a few Christmas things happening in stores. Perhaps Kim and I will do a bit of searching here this weekend. I really love this time of year, where everything starts to slowly debut!

Well, back to work. Have a great Monday everyone!!

I hope your last week goes very well!!! Sending prayers up for Bruce & his family! Have a great day!

I ended up feeling better so I went with my mom to see Aretha Franklin. It was so nice to see the look on my mom's face when Aretha came out on the stage, she actually had some tears of joy streaming down her face. She has been a life long fan of hers and always wanted to see her in concert so I am glad that Wayne, my dad and I made it happen and surprised her with the tickets for her birthday. We all know Aretha has a dynamic voice but WOW, she sounds amazing live! Her voice gave me the chills. What a performer! My mom has only been to 2 concerts in her life, Bob Dylan and BB King and that was back in the 60's. She has not been to a concert since. After it was over I told my mom, "Okay, Tina Turner next"! Ha ha! Only problem is, Tina retired from touring but I have seen many other artist "retire" then return.

Sure enough, I had a text "argument" with my boss last night. Lol! I text to tell him I am feeling better and going to the concert, that I can make it to work today. He text back and told me to rest since I will be going out he figured I am doing too much. Then he offered for me to work half day. Okay.... Just as I am typing this to you, I just had to pause to read a text from him now. He is offering a last chance for me to take the day off if I need it. He is just too sweet - they are all too sweet up there! I have had some health issues going on and they worry about me doing too much. I told him I will be there!

Read everything but don't have time to reply to it all. So happy to hear about all your pre-Christmas and Fall plans and decorating. Sounds like most of us are getting some cooler weather.

Take care everyone and have a Merry Day!!!

Glad you were able to go with your mom and enjoy the evening. Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time.

Hope you're still feel okay now. Sounds like you have such a wonderful boss and great people to work for. Know that I still pray for you and we've talked about this before, I'm always here for you, if you need me. Take care of yourself, friend. <3 (((Hugs)))

I figured to make this a separate post...

I was notified yesterday by my brother that my mom's husband Bruce's brother had a massive heart attack yesterday morning at his home near Atlanta, GA, and ultimately passed away. He was only 56. Kim and I just saw Glen last summer in Ottawa. He was always in a positive mood and definitely made you smile with kindness and his inherited southern drawl that he developed over the past 15 years.

Sad stuff. I don't like talking about these things too much but I know that you, friends, always help make everything better. I will be fine. Please send all your thoughts amd everything to Bruce and his family. He's had a rough time in the past five years or so. He lost his dad, mom, and now brother. His entire immediate family is now together elsewhere. Bruce also doesn't have any kids. Poor guy.

Again, thanks for everything, friends.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, as well as Bruce and his family.
