Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Friday morning, everyone!

We are fighting the final hours before heading home for the weekend. The weekend here doesn't appear as if it will be too exciting but there isn't much wrong with a quiet weekend, especially after attending a nice wedding previously.

Actually, there is some excitement this weekend... Tinseltown, Ottawa's year-round Christmas Emporium, is scheduled to have their grand opening to celebrate their expansion! Yes, Kim and I will attend tomorrow and revel in the brand new space and nearly double the size of Christmas than our previous visit! I will be sure to take photos and hold them in my cannon until Blossom. Hey, you have to build the anticipation somehow!

Yes, Kim and I will attend tomorrow and revel in the brand new space and nearly double the size of Christmas than our previous visit!

Wow, I'd love to see that! As far as I know, there is no all-Christmas store in our area. But we have three different craft stores and the Christmas Tree Shop (which, despite its name, is current-season decor and bargain-basement household items). It must be magic to walk into an all-Christmas store off-season and be transported to Christmastime!

Good evening,

My usual late night posts before bed, it is so hard to get here earlier these days.

It is hard to believe that it was 13 years ago those horrible events happened, I remember them so clearly and all the paranoia that ensued afterward. I was sent home from work because there were rumors they were going to close the state borders, I was working in Connecticut back then. I use to watch the documentaries every year, but I can no longer bring myself to watch them, such a scary thing. May we never forget.

The cats are warming up to Turtle, Gomez is out of hiding but watches him like a hawk. He is such a great dog, he absolutely adores my wife, loves the boys, and he likes me quite a bit too.

I have to head off to sleep, work beckons way too early.

I found out Movies24 will be airing two Christmas movies every Saturday in October in the countdown to their switch over to Christmas24!!! I am so excited even though I will be waiting to watch festive films from November.

Well it's offical, I have joined the ranks of pneumonia infected people in my family and in town. Apperantly it's been bad lately and they have been admitting a lot of people at the hospital with it.

Oh well, back home now with numerous prescriptions to get filled in the morning when target opens.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's a bit chilly here in central Indy where we currently stand at 56 degree's on our way to a high of 65 this afternoon. I love it!!!!! I went and got my meds this morning, so hopefully they will work miracles and have me back to 100% in no time. The bad thing is, the roofers are back and they are finishing stripping the old roof right over my apartment this morning. So my afternoon is going to be filled with the sounds of nail guns again. Yipee!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went and got my meds this morning, so hopefully they will work miracles and have me back to 100% in no time. good morning all!
A very cool 7c here this morning. Going to be cloudy with some rain again today, true fall weather.

Work today, going to be busy which I love, makes the day go by fast.

Hope you are having a good day at work, Star!!!!!

The heat and humidity snuck back in yesterday but it won't last.
Unfortunately, neither will the dry days. Cooler and wetter weather is just ahead, and in fact we had a brief hard rain last night.
For now, we have 71 degrees here in the capital city.

I'm going to get started on some chores after I finish my cup of coffee. I also need to work on a menu plan & grocery list before I head in to work. I want to stop at the butcher on my way home from the preschool and get that over with. I'll do the rest of my food shopping tomorrow. I'm going to take a couple of cold pills before I leave so hopefully that will help me feel better for a few hours. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

I'm looking forward to a new DVD---they just released the 40th anniversary version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella." Back in the day before DVRs and VCRs, kiddies, this was one of the annual big TV events for me, along with "Rudolph" and "The Wizard of Oz." Really looking forward to seeing this again!

Good morning ~ almost afternoon MMC! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! I'm looking forward to getting out of here around 12:15 & going to pick up my girl from the beauty parlor! :lol:
Had a good time with the girls last night - actually the boys met up with us too, so it got a little later than it should have on a work night! I might need a little nap this afternoon! (ya, right!)
It's chilly in Ohio today too - I wore a sweatshirt to work today! They are still saying a low of 43º tomorrow night. Brrrr! If we were staying at the lake, we may have had to turn on the furnace Sunday morning. EEK!!
Our new room is getting insulation today - spray foam insulation! YAY!! Progress!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

I was awakened this morning at 6AM with a call that there was no water on my side of town. I had to get up and get the well running, but it's difficult to build pressure while everyone in town is getting ready for work, taking showers, automatic lawn sprinklers, etc.

I wonder if the mayor of Atlanta gets up in the middle of the night to deal with stuff like this.

Jacob has a gig at 8AM tomorrow in Statesboro, and he has to be there at 7AM, so we have to rise early tomorrow. Then our niece is getting married at 10:30AM, so it's to run to the wedding after the gig.

Somebody has to cut my grass; I sure don't have time for it! LOL
