Happy First Day of Fall, y'all!

It was so warm yesterday, Elizabeth and I went swimming. Of course, it took a minute to get used to the water temperature LOL.

Jacob's gig over the weekend went well. He and his band are really starting to sound good together!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high around 70 degrees. I have lots of running to do today. Mom has a doctor's appointment and then we have a few other places to stop off. So I will be back later this afternoon to get caught up. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Good Morning, Friends.

Ready to start a new work week?

Or, a better question, will today's numbers give you a start?

Days to the Season: 52

Days to Christmas Day: 94

And even more startling is the fact that as of today, we are down to LESS THAN HALF A WEEK from the 3/4 Christmas Day Milestone Marker!

(Close. So close!)

A pretty nice day yesterday although the temps were up a bit.

All in all, not bad since the humidity was not high.

Today has begun for us at 65 degrees here, after a short rain last night.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

Thanks Crown! You too!

Hello everyone. I hope you all have a great day and week!

Happy Monday, friend!

Praying for you guys, and holding you all close to my heart.

Good evening everyone. My youngest came home from college last night, for good. She's going to transfer to a local school. She's been incredibly homesick and struggling with anxiety since we moved her in a few weeks ago. My husband is upset, doesn't think she had enough time to get adjusted. I feel like I did the right thing. I know my daughter better than anyone. We got to FaceTime Friday night and it frightened me when I saw how depressed she was. I'm so exhausted from this whole thing. But I'm glad that she's home. Everything will work out, it always does.
My middle one is sending me pictures right now of a kitten she wants to adopt. My husband will have a fit if I let her bring another one home. She's awfully cute though. They are all so darn cute!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead.
Goodnight & sweet dreams!

I found your original post, Homemakingirl!

There is no reason for your daughter to feel the way she does and continue to stay in college so far away, that is a giant step! It works for some but it's not for everyone. Hopefully she can find a college nearby and stay close to home. It sounds as though you and her both were stressed out over the whole thing. It will all work out and I am happy for you all!

Bless her heart, being homesick is not easy to get over. I would have done the same thing if it was my Elizabeth.

As most of you know, my daughter is a Junior this year at college, this is her third year living on campus away from home. This is a very ironic conversation, because my daughter called me Saturday evening, she was crying and she wanted to come home. We got her and it was mostly stress related, having to deal with living with strangers, not sleeping very well, taking 5 main classes and of course, with her just being away from home, and not sleeping in her own bed (has made her homesick)...

She came home, ate a good meal, played with her bunnies for awhile, hung out with mom and I and then she slept for about 12 hours. It was a mutual decision that starting next year, she is going to live at home and drive to school every day; that makes me happy!

You know, as adults, we can be overwhelmed by so much stress at times, but we have experienced it before, and in most cases, we get through it.
But, the level of stress that takes place at a college level, I'm sure, can be too much at times for most of them, having not to have experienced that before.....

HMG....I honest know and feel for what's going on, at times, I'm there as well~

Happy autumnal Monday, y'all!

Still in the low 70s here, but the leaves are turning.

Hope you get everything done today and your mum's appointment goes well.

Hope you are feeling a lot better now and over the pneumonia.

Hello everyone. I hope you all have a great day and week!

Hope you and your family are doing well Ryan. Have a great week and Happy Fall!!
Good Morning MMC !!!

Another chilly morning here.
We are doing our fall cleaning so everything is fresh and good looking for Christmas. The tree spot is picked out!
Going to pick up paint samples for the living room. Planning to do several different shades of green. (we have lots of nooks and crannies)

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

How exciting that you have started your fall cleaning. I have managed to get a couple DIY things checked off earlier than planned. I will do my big clean during October. Have fun chosing your paint colours.

Snowflake - Love the photo. Looks like you all had a ball and that place looks absolutely charming!

HomakinGirl - So sorry to hear your daughter has been having a tough time. I still feel homesick after all these years, it can really get you down. I remember the early days when I didn't know anyone, now that was the worse. Hope that things will work out for the better and you all can find the right balance and solution.

I just bought a Nutcracker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were some really lovely Christmas things out today in the shop - different from the usual which is really fun! I just love Nutcrackers and I couldn't resist him at just £1.99.

I had times too when I would get my daughter home from college for the same reasons. It is stressful when they leave home for the first time plus have to go to college. We all face stress, and we do not all deal with it the same. We all need someone to help us with it.
Lots of hugs is great!
