TOMORROW, Guys -- the THREE QUARTER MARK TO CHRISTMAS DAY 2014.

Really cool yesterday! Never out of the low 60's, and it was damp and overcast. Light evening rain, too. Not really very nice, all and all.
A repeat is predicted for today, then warmer temps for the balance of the week.
We stand just below 58 degrees here in the capital city at this hour.

This just in from Carl:
Special open house this evening. Something about a "blossoms contest".

Blossoms contest??
What on earth could that mean?

Hmmm.......I guess we'll have to show up to find out.

Mister Festive is not well. I guess last week was just the start. He has been going into work though-poor thing. I hope I am not next.

I signed in here yesterday and posted on a few threads, never made it in the Countdown because I got really sick! My son-in-law was so sweet and bought me some 7 Up and some healthy snacks. I never drink soda but when I get real sick to my stomach water doesn't taste too good and that 7 Up was tasty and settled my stomach a lot. Hoping for a better day today because it's not fun to stay in bed all day long.

The funny part of all this is before my mom knew I was sick she asked if I wanted to go out for Mexican food, her treat! No thank you! That would have been the worse thing to put on a upset tummy! :lol: That was a nice offer though!

We will remain in the lower to mid 80's this week then the temps will climb into the lower 90's next week. Nooooo!!!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, it's really cool outside this morning! It was 58° when I got to work. Nice! I went outside to walk the block at 6:15 this morning, and I almost went back in for long pants. Nice again!

Nancy's mom found some fresh corn yesterday, so we had supper at their house last night. Fresh corn, fresh green beans and rotisserie chicken. Ahhh.

Thanks! I feel fortunate to have a wonderful son-in-law! At first glance he looks rough and tough with a few tattoos but he has a heart of gold and will drop everything to help family out. When my dog, Chico, was real ill my son-in-law actually bought a get well card for my dog! Unfortunately, Chico died a few days later. My son-in-law saw how upset Wayne and I were and treated us to dinner that night. My appetite was shot but it helped to be out with family and have dinner together.

[Holiday]

ahhh first day of fall and we are finally getting a week of summer like weather! It was 24c (75f) and sunny today and going to be much the same all week.
Our family Thanksgiving is set for October 11. Got family coming from Vermont and Calgary this year as well as all us home town folk. Now I have to come up with some ideas of what to bring.

Nice quiet evening, enjoying the sounds of kids playing floating through the open window. Penny is curled up sleeping, I am thinking early bed time would be nice!

Hope you are all having a nice evening. Amazing race Canada is on in an hour which LittleCS and I will be watching.
Until then I think I will go for a walk

Good evening everyone. I've been outside for the past 2 hours, ever since I've been home, cutting firewood with my chainsaw. It's perfect weather outside to do that kind of work, cool, bright and no bugs flying in your face.... Plus, I decided to get the outside work done tonight,because they are calling for rain here tomorrow.

Well. were down to only 5 more days and then we settle on the new house and then we will start slowly moving things in until the big moving day on next Friday. So, a little more packing tonight and most likely every night for the rest of the week.

We just got back from getting the boys their haircuts for picture day tomorrow. We went to Lowe's after and they have decked the halls!!!! I took some pictures for the Blossoms thread to go with the ones that I took up in Lake George. They had some really nice stuff, including the spare bulbs for my bubble lights. It's getting closer!!! :yahoo:

I was on-line looking up to see what kind of festivals and Fall activities that might be going on around here and I came across an advertising for the Catoctin Mountain colorfest.

Each year, this little town in Thurmont Maryland, host this huge event, with vendors, shows, food, arts, crafts, etc... for 2 days....I mean this event is huge. It completely takes over the whole town and there are vendors stretching from one end of the town to the opposite end and then some....
