LOL!!! Smart kid!!!! Did his mom tell him about the secret sign she has to put out for the tooth fairy to know to stop there. That she just can't sense the teeth under the pillows?

Good idea! I will pass that info to her! =)

Planned on hanging the outdoor Christmas lights this weekend, but we have a shot at a rain/snow mix that may nix those best layed plans.

Now I like that idea, getting the Christmas lights put up!

The Crowns are off to the coast tomorrow afternoon and a countdowner is needed for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Anyone want to take the 3rd and 2nd days before our Home Stretch Milestone?

Good Morning Christmas Friends!

I never heard from the repair man yesterday so we are still without AC. It's our central air out but we still have our window units in our bedroom so we can at least sleep! The rest of the house is like a sauna so I have to lock myself up in the bedroom just to keep cool BUT I am thankful for that! Can't complain too much at least I have some air somewhere! =)

I hope he comes today, it stinks to be hot in the house.

Dallas local news is flooded with this whole Ebola case. This family live very close to us! Now they have 5 schools in a frenzy because the patient came in contact with 5 kids from 5 different schools. Hopefully it will stay under control and not spread!

That is quite scary, at least the talking heads are saying it is hard to spread.

Almost time to head home & put a paint brush in my hand!! It's going to be warm in that room today ~ I better soak in that heat to keep me warm over the weekend!!! Have a great night MMC!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be hot here today with a high in the mid 80's. Then rain overnight and a major cool front. They are saying we might not even make it out of the 40's on saturday!! Love it!! It's a pretty stressful morning here. I'm just waiting by the phone to hear from my sister. After I hear from her, I'll explain more about what has been going on. Other than that, not to much going on today. Just the normal daily chores and job searching. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

My grandson is quite the thinker and is always coming up with the best questions and thoughts. Here is the latest conversation with his mom.

"Hey mom, I know how to see if the tooth fairy is real or not." She asked, "how?" He said, "I'm going to put a tooth under my pillow and not tell you."

I wanted to mention that we have adopted a new puppy! His name is "buddy" and he is a 4 month old "sausage" dog...I use to have one named "pookie" for 13 years but she passed a way a few years ago, they make the sweetest dogs... so I have 3 now... the bulldog snow ball who is 10 years old now. Kylee who is about 5, and now buddy the little puppy. It takes some getting use to but so far so good! I love dogs and always will have one!

Good afternoon,

I got the house cleaned up, laundry is going, and I have made a nice butt imprint on the couch from my laziness. I finally figured out how to download the pictures from my phone to the computer without sending it through email so I can finally post my Blossoms pictures.
I was saying last week we have eggnog in the store now, we have had it for a week.
Here it is all you nog lovers:

I never noticed how long of an expiration date egg nog had on it, nearly 1.75 months.
I wish I liked egg nog, I keep trying it but a just don't like it.

TV is getting bad, I am sick of the election commercials, and worst of all it is for another state, not even my own. The immature attack ads are making me sick. That and the whole region is flipping out over the Patriots last loss, I love it, but wow they are about to abandon ship. I just hope the Bengals beat them Sunday night, everyone will give me a hard time if the Pats beat my team.

I hope you are enjoying your day, I got to get LC off the bus in a few minutes.

I'll be around throughout the evening.

Thanks for all of the Prayers over the last couple of days everyone!!!!

Back on the 20th my BIL decided to surprise my sister with Divorce papers. It was a Saturday and she had been working a craft fair and came home to a sheriff sitting in her driveway and him peeking out the window. He had never mentioned anything to her about it or anything.

It wasn't just the divorce though. He also wanted full custody of the kids. Now he may not be a terrible dad but he is not really involved in those kids lives at all compared to my sister. He didn't even know their teachers names compared to my sister who volunteers in their classrooms and is president of the PTO at the school. Not to mention the fact that she is leader of both of their girl scout troops.

So there has been a lot of drama over the last couple of weeks with him running to his mommy who is paying for all of it for him and her thinking that she would just be able to run over my sister like she did her ex husband. Well she has been around us long enough that she should have known better.

My sister had been trying to work with him and offered him 2 days a week plus every other weekend and then split their school breaks 50/50. So almost 50/50 but he wouldn't have nothing of it. So they finally went to court this morning for the temporary custody hearing and the judge saw right through him. He only ended up getting his 2 days off every other week. Plus since he works retail, when his days off fall during the week the kids have to be home that night so they can get ready for school the next day. So that's really only 5 hours or so that he will get with them. Long way away from that full custody he wanted.

He can still try to fight it during the final divorce hearing but hopefully he see's that the judge isn't buying what he is trying to sell.

Divorce is a tough thing, especially with kids. I'm glad the judge had enough common sense to see where the kids really needed to be.
