Merry Morning all!

It looks set to be a very wet October which is disappointing as I would prefer cold crisp autumn days to the wet, soggy, damp I just hope we have a dry Halloween. I have been soaked both morning this week taking my son to school ...ah well.

I was really excited to find out that the city will be doing their big switch on of the Christmas lights on Nov 07!! It's usually a big deal with someone famous flipping the switch, live music from guest performers and fireworks at the end. It is the official launch of the Christmas season here!!! I love when the city is all lit up and decorated. My town will probably follow soon after with our own big switch on ....on a smaller scale though!

I just love this feeling of anticipation and excitement!

It's been a wet October here as well - just hoping it doesn't rain for Halloween either. That would be a bummer for the kids.

Well, believe it or not, it's here.
The FINAL pre-Season Milestone of 2014.
Wow.

Days to the Season: 38
Days to Christmas Day: 80

Today.
TODAY!
We begin the Home Stretch run to Christmas Season 2014.
Yep. It's true.
We are NINETY PERCENT of the way back "home".


Warmer yesterday than the day before, but still a tad coolish. That should change over the next few days
and we are supposed to be in for nice run weather-wise through the remainder of the week.
This morning has commenced at 58 degrees here in our little part of the MMC universe.

Good morning friends. I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

I'm back at work after taking off last week for the funeral. It was good to have days off after the service so I could just take some time to think about things and grieve. But I'm back in the office and trying to get back in my routine.

I do have a picture if my Ol' Pappy up by my computer now, so he's at work with me and keeping me company. It's a great pic of him with my son on his shoulders.

I agree on the pumpkin spice blends.... right now it is pumpkin spice overkill on everything! But Starbucks Christmas blend (maybe it is an acquired taste) has been an obsession of mine for over a decade! Just something comforting about Starbucks and Christmas, really wish I had my 2003 Starbucks tumbler still but it vanished somehow during moving a few years back. Thankfully I still have my 2009 one, that also was a very good Christmas that year and I am very careful not to lose or damage this one.

I like pumpkin spice, but I really love the Christmas blends from Starbucks. I don't think they're very strong in taste. I agree with you - it's something seasonal to look forward to!

I had to get my granddaughter from school today, she wasn't feeling well. She was not real bad sick, no fever or anything, just a tummy ache. She stayed with me until her dad could get off work.

I managed to get some Halloween decorations put on my porch. A little warm out so I didn't put that much out.
