Christmas Countdown - 2014

I'm going to jump in quick to say GOOD MORNING before I go back to reading posts!!!

I went shopping for tile backsplash last night for the kitchen- EEK - too many choices!!! Lol!! Our carpet is in & I am happy with it. It looks much lighter than I remember, but it will be fine! The rest of our brick was delivered this morning. Sure would be nice if they could get there to finish up - like today!

I snapped this picture of my 2 peeps last night ~ might be my newest favorite picture.

Gorgeous day here, but a bit windy. I had a few minutes the other day and I thought I would check in here, but when I clicked on the site, I found out I had logged out and of course, I couldn't remember my password. Figures I would do something silly like that! There is a lot going on here right now with both family and work, and there is a lot of stress, so I have been operating on automatic pilot, so to speak. So glad I finally remembered the password because I couldn't Chrome in like the last time I forgot!

No time to catch up, unfortunately. I hope this finds everyone well! Praying for all!!!

Good afternoon from me! And happy Friday too! :]
After waking up at 4a.m. yesterday, I slept way too long today. I didn't even here my alarm clock which had never happened before.
Anyway, I have started typing one of my uni assessments. I must say that the very beginning is always the toughest. ^^
I've also noticed the Christmas writing contest here, on MMC. I thought that it's such a nice way to honour Louanne. I am thinking of entering because it's a good way to improve my skills in creative writing. :] I will definitely think of some ideas.

Thank you! I had to work late yesterday (boo, hiss!) so I didn't get home until after 8 p.m. But we started celebrating right away by going out for a sandwich, and we'll be celebrating through the weekend!

Today we're going to the Book Fair a few towns over. It's a HUGE book warehouse that sells them for bargain prices. We usually go there a couple times a year and bring home an embarrassing number of books! It's easy to spend hours browsing around in there. Then after our feet start hurting, there's an Irish pub restaurant nearby where we can have a late lunch. After that, we'll just relax at home.

Good Morning Christmas Friends!

One more day of heat. 92 for the high, tomorrow rainy and 68 for the high with north winds 10-15 mph! Excited!!!

The kids are out of school for Fair Day today. I am not sure if schools in other cities in the USA close for their State Fair. It has been like that here since I was in school. We get one day off during the State Fair of Texas every year in October. All the kids get a free ticket for admission into the fair. The problem is, when you go on Fair Day it is way too crowded! Most of the time we just end up doing something else and go to the Fair on another day.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

Oh, yes! Back where I come from, the schools in the county closed on the Friday of the county fair. And like you said, it was too crowded to go that day---so a couple times my parents got me out of school early on another weekday and we went then. They would have a parade of antique vehicles---cars, carriages, wagons, everything you can think of---around the track, and we would go to see that. (The fair featured harness racing most afternoons.) Thinking of that sure takes me back!
