Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another warm but rainy day here in central Indy with a high around 70. I slept pretty good but woke up with a killer headache. So I don't plan on doing a lot today. Just working on the never ending battle of trying to keep the apartment clean and I already have laundry going. I'm sorry I was absent yesterday. It was a hectic day at work, and this is final rehearsal week for Elizabeth's ballet this weekend. I have to take off work early for a few days to take her to practice.

Jacob bought a cheap ukulele yesterday (against my advice), but by the end of the evening, he was playing a song and Elizabeth was singing. They had the best time together doing that! It was almost like they were little again, so it was worth it to me, after all. :wink:

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. Thanksgiving has come and gone. Good times were had. Delicious food was devoured. The weather was even sunny and seasonal. Now, we are nearly halfway through the month of October.

Halway through? Thanksgiving is over? Less than a month until the beginning of the Christmas Season? That means Christmas should be finding its way into stores everywhere now! Incredible.

Well, as you would have guessed, I am teaching again today. I have the first period off, but will be in the classroom for the rest of the day. I would rather have a period at the end or in the middle off, but I will take this. At least I am teaching and not at Passport!

I hope everyone has returned to the workweek all right. Only two more full workweeks of October remain. Then, we're into the month that welcomes the most wonderful Season of the year. Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Happy Tuesday everyone. My son has forgotten how old I am. He got tickets for the two of us plus 2 of his friends to go see Paul McCartney tomorrow night. He is driving home from college tomorrow morning and I am leaving work at noon to make the 3-1/2 hr drive to Atlanta. Concert starts at 8 and McCartney usually plays for 3 hours. Then we drive home and I try to go to work Thursday while Ethan drives almost 3 hrs back to college to make a 1:00 class. I'm grew up a huge Beatles fan and am old enough to remember their Ed Sullivan appearances. I was 6 and sit inches away from our small B/W TV. Saw McCartney in Dallas in the early 90's and can't wait to see him again.

Ethan comes back home Friday evening for his 4 day fall break. Nice to have something to look forward too.

Smart TVs are pretty cool. We went through the learning curve last year. You can watch things like YouTube, Amazon Instant Video and Netflix directly through the TV. I think you'll like it!

60 inches! Wow!

What a tumble-down day … Mr. was laid off without a warning. Staff reductions, they said. Of all the proofreaders at that company, he was far and away the most accomplished and most experienced, so it was a heckuva shock that he was the one cut loose. My supervisor let me leave early to come home and offer support. He's already putting out feelers, so I hope he isn't without work long. Just before the holiday season, too. Considering the way that office treated its people, though, this may be a blessing in disguise. Just the same, we're feeling mighty low just now.

Good Tuesday Afternoon MMC!! Hope everyone is having a great day and in great spirits!

Rain from that system that went through the south yesterday is moving in already, (hope all our friends in Arkansas and Louisiana are ok, seen the news about the tornados and damage from heavy storms)

I was planning on getting some outside work done today, but with the rain moving in for the next 2 days, I will focus on indoor stuff.

I am making homemade peach cobbler with the last of the fresh peaches, in the oven now, Joan will be home from work soon and I hope to greet her with a nice treat. :tree:

I also grated up and froze the last of the zucchini from the garden and put it in the freezer, will make a couple loaves of fresh zucchini bread on a cold winter day in a few months!

Anyway hope everyone is having an awesome day full of the Christmas spirit!! :rudolph:

Congrats on the new TV - we need to look in to get a new one too - I think that's the size we may get too. I think we are going to wait until around Black Friday or so and see if there are any deals. Hope you're having a great day!

I have a smart TV, it comes on when I press the button and goes off when I press the button !
of course it is not as big as yours, but it works!
