What a tumble-down day … Mr. was laid off without a warning. Staff reductions, they said. Of all the proofreaders at that company, he was far and away the most accomplished and most experienced, so it was a heckuva shock that he was the one cut loose. My supervisor let me leave early to come home and offer support. He's already putting out feelers, so I hope he isn't without work long. Just before the holiday season, too. Considering the way that office treated its people, though, this may be a blessing in disguise. Just the same, we're feeling mighty low just now.

Prayers with you and Mr, this is a difficult time of year (not that any time of year is good to get laid off) but don't let it put a damper on your holiday spirit! As you said, it WILL be a blessing in disguise for both of you! Life is too short to be treated badly at a workplace. The only advice I can offer is to have faith that is part of God's plan to bring something better in your lives!

The weather here today is very blah.. rainy, chilly and once again seems like we did not have much autumn color, overnight with the rain and wind a lot trees went from just starting to change color to the trees are bare this morning after a stormy night. Oh well, we are one day closer to holiday season and the best time of year!

Look what my dad bought me! I haven't tried it yet, I will update you on how it taste!

We went to Aldi today and I was so happy to see a lot of fall type foods being stocked, this is where my dad bought it. I don't know if you all have an Aldi where you are at but I sure look forward to their seasonal goodies!

CAH- Did you ever try this? I finally stopped by mine this morning and picked one up.

We just picked up a gallon of old fashioned apple cider for $2.99 at Aldi, which is a great price and it was good quality! Really curious what that pumpkin sparkling cider tastes like! Will be watching for it in our Aldi!
