Awesome! I told my hubby we could probably get better deals if we waited, but that wasn't going to happen! He was pretty excited to get a tv in the new room! Good luck with your search! So many options...

I can't say I blame you! We already have TV's - we're just looking to replace our tv in our bedroom and get DS one for Christmas. He has a cheapo right now and I'd like to get him one with a DVD player. The one we have in our great room, we're then going to move in the bedroom, then the new one, we'll put in the great room! Lol

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another rainy day here in central Indy with a high in the mid 60's. Which I have no where to go so that is okay. Not a whole lot going on here today. Mom is having a spell today. Her mouth started dropping last night and this morning she is pretty wobbly. Not as bad as the last couple of times though. So that it's a positive. So I'll just be spending the day working around the apartment and watching her to make sure she doesn't get any worse. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no made!!! I'll be hoping & praying she gets better & not worse!! The sun was just shining a few minutes ago, but now it's really clouding up again!! The temps aren't too bad though ~ high of 63! Have a good day!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy and I killed 5 hours yesterday afternoon, waiting for Elizabeth to finish her "technical rehearsal" for this weekend's ballet. Tonight is the full "dress rehearsal". I don't really know the difference, except that they didn't use costumes last night, but they are tonight.

It's a beautiful morning here, mid-50's and sunny! my office windows are open, a cool breeze is blowing through, a bird is chirping, and I'm listening to Goo Goo Dolls Greatest Hits. Nice!

I get Amazon, Netflix etc on our current tv through the blue-ray player. Our current tv connects to the internet, but there is no web browser. Weird. I haven't experimented with APPS or Netflix, etc on the new tv - other than the web browser. So much to learn. :lol:

I can get all this through my blu-Ray player too and that's how we watch everything. Netflix always seems to run slow though. I've read reviews that the Samsung blu-Ray does this, so hopefully it's not my connection and once we get a smart TV, it will be better. We have APPS with DirecTV, but I never use them.

Too funny! The great TV swap!! :smile: My hubby pointed out that if we keep the tv that we have in what was our bedroom (will now be an office/den) & get a new one for our "new" bedroom ~ we will have 6 TV's in our house for 2 people. GEESH!!!!! SOOOO if we move the tv from our old bedroom to the new, we will ONLY have 5! :lol: Ridiculous!

Our new tv is a Samsung, so hopefully that will be ok. I watched a little Netflix on it (just to test it) & it seemed ok....but I mostly listened to Pandora Christmas music on it last night! Good luck!!!

Good afternoon folks. Went to the Paul McCartney concert in Atlanta last night with my son and a couple of his friends. It was an awesome show. Paul was onstage 3 hours with no opening act. He preformed 40 songs. The most amazing thing to me was 39 of the 40 songs he wrote or co-wrote and has many many more he could have preformed. I've always been most impressed with performers who write their own lyrics and music. He has even recorded albums where he played all the instruments. It was well worth the 6 hour round-trip drive and getting home at 3:30am. Being at work at 8 this morning was also tough but worth it.
