Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good afternoon, everyone!

I've just returned home from the Remembrance Day ceremony in Canada's Capital. It was an honour to attend the ceremony, once again. It was also great to see there were even more in attendance this year than that of years past.

As a government employee, Kim is off today. We're heading out in a bit to make some Christmas purchases. Personally, I don't think I am going to buy anything but Kim has to pickup a few gifts.

Hello friends...stopping by this afternoon to see how you all are doing.
I've had a bit of a lazy day, feel a little guilty, but then again we all know what the days to come will bring as we begin to decorate, bake, wrap and more!
So, I'm going to go ahead and allow a chilled out day watching Hallmark and putting some of my Fall decor away.

Heading toward another 9+ hour day ... well, call it job security. (Update: Maybe 10+ hours. And maybe be here an hour or two early tomorrow ...)

I have a day off on Friday, but I have to take my car to have the damage appraised, then take the paperwork and arrange to get it fixed. Well, it serves me right for being clumsy on Monday.

One good thing is that when I finally get out of here tonight, I can listen to Christmas music all the way home. And celebrate because Mr. was hired by a temp agency today, so he'll soon be getting assignments from them. My workplace uses that agency, so he'll probably be covering for me during some of my days off in December, if he's not otherwise assigned.

Congratulations to Mr, that's great news!

Well I did it. With high's in the mid 30's for the rest of the week and low's getting down into the teen's, I decided it was time to turn on the heat. Boo!!!! I hate having to do it before thanksgiving.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! We are going to see some rain this afternoon and falling temps once the cold front that has been hitting the midwest finally reaches us. We will go from near 60's at noon to in the 20's this evening. Brrr. I may finally be forced to turn on the heat. Not much going on this morning but this afternoon I have to go babysit my niece's for awhile. So hopefully the weather men are right and it's going to be a light rain again. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning!
I'm having my coffee and I'm looking at samples of paint colors for the kitchen. My husband painted half of the kitchen over the weekend and decided he hated the color. I think he should just paint it white for now, lol. I want it to be finished!!!
I'm heading out soon, I need to pick up a few things at the supermarket. Not too much else going on. The girls all have off today, they're still sleeping. It would be a good day to take their picture for our Christmas cards. Maybe I'll take them out to lunch if they cooperate. Depends on what kind of mood they're all in, I never know what I'm going to get!
