I'm going to turn in. I'm off again tomorrow but the girls have school so I'll be waking up early with them. Enjoy the rest of the evening, goodnight everyone!

Good evening, friends! Hope you're all having a great evening! I'm just relaxing, watching Hallmark and was spending time with my kids.

Hope tomorrow is great day! Ttyt!

This being remembrance day, we had a moment of silence at the store where all staff stopped what they were doing and reflected on the amazing sacrifices made by so many men and women so we could live free.
It was great, except for the customer in front of me when it was announced. He tried to make me keep working, loudly declaring that he did not agree. I said I did, took a step back and bowed my head. I could hear him continue to rant about how he was German and they lost so he had nothing to be thankful for. I was obviously for war since I wore a poppy indicating war and lost blood. Any country that believed in Jesus should not glorify war. This was a waste of time and he was not happy. When the time was over I rang him though and gave him his change, saying nothing to him. I was deeply offended. He then declared me rude for not thanking him for his business.
After he left the other customer just shook her head and said wow, really?
I wondered why he was living in Canada if his home country was so great.
Anyway, I took a time out to settle down.
When I came home I found this posted on facebook and want to share it with him, but he is not here so I will share with you instead

Good evening,

Another day, another day falling behind on my decorating. I wasn't able to start yet again today, we spent most of the day out. I am now a week and a half behind. Arrrrgggghhh!!!!!

I am exhausted tonight, late day tomorrow, so a little sleeping in will be helpful.

Thank you for all who served, Happy Veteran's Day.

Good night, everyone!!!!

Wow, that video says it all. So similar to your situation.

I would've done the same thing.

Well, I got out at about 8:30. Just under a 12-hour day. I have to be there a half hour early tomorrow, so I have to be up at 6 a.m. Ugh. I shouldn't complain I know others here have much rougher hours than that, and some are driving in snow and ice already. I'm just tired and grumpy tonight.

Special Post Day #4

"So the legend of Saint Nicholas is a lovely and delectable myth, the last living relic of the vanishing world of dreams. The fairies are gone. No little children or maidens watch any longer through the ardent summer nights to catch some echo of the songs. The witches are gone...Santa Claus alone still lingers with us. For Heaven's sake, let us keep him as long as we can.
There are some excellent people who are scrupulous about deceiving their children with such legendary nonsense. They are mistaken. The children learn to see soon enough, too clearly and too well, or to think they do. Ah, leave them at least one thrill of passionate mystery that may linger with them when the years begin to grow too plain and dull and bare. After all, in this universe of ignorance, anything may be true, even our dreams."
-Gamaliel Bradford 1925

We are now two days away from the most magical time of the year, a time we all look forward to starting December 26 the year before. As our friend Ballcoach so eloquently put it, "Santa Claus is real."
In this season we have been looking forward to, I am a little hesitant to go through it as I usually do. My oldest is 9 years old, and I worry that this may be the last year that Santa Claus may exist for him. He was very skeptical last year, and a lot of questions were beginning to come. He would ask very vague questions, and we would answer how we could without ruining it for him. He wants to believe, you can see it, but I have a feeling that peer pressure is getting to him, and we will be telling him the everything sooner rather than later.

So this year let the magic flow, let Santa be the big guy to the children for as long as you can. This magic from my youth has made me such a lover of Christmas throughout my life that I want my kids to have that same feeling that I still get, the smile I get as Christmas gets closer. That feeling that fills your heart during this time of year. The warm smiles from strangers. The anticipation of Christmas morning that makes it so hard to fall asleep, and wakes you up before the sun comes up. Christmastime is nearly upon us, the build up of the season is culminating, get the decorations out, get the lights out. Make some cookies, and eat them as Santa would. Most of all share it with your loved ones.

Make the most of this season, enjoy it, and try not to let it go too fast. I look forward to celebrating this time of year with all of you again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Awesome! I am going to cherish the next few years and love every second. They grow up fast or so I hear!

Merry Christmas!
