Good afternoon everyone!
We've nearly done it. The Christmas Season begins tonight at the stroke of midnight. The time which we have waited for 300+ days is about to release its magic over the entire world. We are so close, friends.
It was an interesting morning for me. I was awoke by my new alarm clock (Simon) at about 6:20. He was hungry. After feeding him, I searched for a job for about 50 minutes. I turned down two because they were too far - and for elementary schools - then I received one for Carleton Place, which is about 30 minutes outside of Ottawa. The only problem? The school starts at 8:10. I wasn't able to leave the house until 7:45. I drove quite quickly and managed to be in the class by 8:12. Not bad! I really wanted to work today and was happy to receive a call for a school that has quite good students.
I'm a little sleepy today. We had hockey last night at 10:15. I did not get home until about 11:45. It always takes me a while to wind down after hockey, so I didn't fall asleep until about 12:30 (I think). Oh well. At least we won our first game last night. We were playing against easily the worst team in the league but only won 2-1. Their goal stood on his head. He played great! I had fun.
Other than the gym, I do not believe I have much going on tonight. This should set up perfectly for the traditional realtime countdown. I look forward to seeing you all at the 'Pines for one last pre-season hurrah as we join on here to countdown the hours, minutes, then seconds to the Christmas Season. Each year, it is a magical feeling. And, each year, I look forward to ringing in the Season with the same songs as I have been for the past decade. Tradition is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
Anyway, again, I look forward to seeing you all tonight! The magic of the Christmas Season is nearly upon us. We are now less than 12 hours away. Until then, I hope you all have a great 'Pines Day! I hear Carl has created a new dance to commemorate the unison of 'Pines Day and the Christmas Season. I can't wait!!
