I'm trying to push off the desire to put up the lights now and wait until Black Friday to put them up, as we do every year. The lead up to Thanksgiving is always so hard, as the Christmas season is right there that Friday! Somehow every year I hold out and wait until that day to set everything up. I think waiting and keeping the decorations up for only a month or so, rather than putting them up closer to Halloween helps keep Christmas special. It's hard to explain but I hope you understand lol!

Once Thanksgiving passes, then it's Christmas 24/7!

(I will admit I have started listening to Christmas music in the car in the mornings and evenings, peppered in with my regular music)

I totally understand...BUT some years Thanksgiving is on Nov. 23rd... last year it was the 28th, this year the 27th....just doesn't seem like enough time to enjoy it all!!!! :) I use to wait until the Friday after Thanksgiving, but now I really enjoy having Black Friday to do whatever I want - shop, or finish up decorating....but it's nice to have the tree done! I'm not trying to talk you into doing it earlier! But if you do give in & put it up...it's OK!!! That said, I might be waiting to put mine up this year b/c we are hosting Thanksgiving for my in-laws...not sure if I have enough room for everyone & the big tree. BUT I'm just not sure if I can wait much longer. LOL!

Good Sunday evening, everyone!

I hope you've all enjoyed your first weekend of the Christmas Season. Kim and I were quite busy. I have barely had any time to sit on the computer.

I am quite happy that I got to enjoy watching a nice Packers victory today. I am sure that snowflake enjoyed it even more so from the northeast end zone! What a victory!!

I took some photos this weekend at Bayshore Shopping Centre. I was fairly disappointed in the overall mall decorations, but there were a few neat things. I'll post the photos in the Blossoms thread momentarily.

On a very serious note, could you please send your positivities to Kim and her family. Her grandmother (84), suffered a massive heartattack last night. They are not quite sure if she will make it. She is currently in ICU at Cornwall. She is aware and reacting to those around her, but she is continuously falling asleep - more than likely from the drugs. Your help would be appreciated. Kim's grandmother is a wonderful lady and I really would love to see her pull through this. She has plenty to live for! Thanks, everyone!!!

Have a great Sunday evening, everyone. Christmas Time is really here.

Praying for Kim, her Grandmother, and the rest of her family.

Good evening, Brent!

It was an awesome victory! So exciting!!!

Looking forward to seeing your photos!

Keeping Kim, her grandmother, and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Very exciting. It was great to hear the crowd erupt when they put the final on the DET vs. ARI score, too!

Brent I'm praying for Kim's grandmother.

Thank you!!

Hello everyone! First congrats to all the folks getting snow...we are cold in the 20's but sunny and no snow in the forecast until tues the 25th! My baby sister and bro in law are coming to my house and Brandi's folks are coming in from Boston so I pray no snow storms are going to hinder their travels.

I have to admit friends, that I have been in no Christmas mood this year...I am trying I really am but so far no go. I guess it's a lot of things without turning this post into a therapy session, but turning 40 in 2 weeks has got me bummed...not a lot of ppl may not understand I and I get that, but just trust me it's an issue for me..but anyway I have enjoyed the Halloween fall season, and I get a little sad when the leaves are all gone from the trees. In the years I have been a member here I have always had the spirit and so I practically lived online here...so I just hope between now and December I will have the spirit!!! Hope everyone is hunkered down for this winter storms that is plowing through the Midwest,Ohio valley,Northeast today and tomorrow...and then the artic air that is following!!

You are in my thoughts, I will be turning 40 in January. Try to enjoy it, you only turn 40 once.

I'm glad!

Anna went out and made snow angels and Caden played a bit. They are out of school because of the ice tomorrow so they're happy!

Awe ~ them lucky kids!!! Hope they have a great day home from school. Crazy to have a snow day so early in the season! Yikes!

Hello all. Well I survived my 16 hour workday in Friday but now I've got a pretty nasty sinus infection. I think I'll be missing church this week.

We are expected to get some snow today! Not much but an inch or two.

I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon!

Enjoy the snow and stay warm!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a chilly one here with a high of 34. We did get some snow overnight and thankfully it just stuck to the grass, building's, and cars. It doesn't sound like that is going to be the case tonight though. We are now up to 3 to 5 inches. Then Tuesday, it's going to be bitterly cold with a high of 22. At least it looks like we start warming back up some after that. Today I have to head out to my sister's for my niece's birthday party. I hope they will understand when I turn the tv on to the final Nascar race of the year and switch over to the football games too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening, friend! Hope you're staying warm and safe in the snow!

Happy birthday to your niece!

Moving a little slow this morning, I'm trying to get rid of a headache that I woke up with. I would like to go shopping later if I feel up to it, there are a few things I want to pick up for the kitchen. I also plan on doing a lot of cleaning. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, I need to get this house in order. And I'll be frying meatballs and making a big pot of sauce, baked raviolis for dinner tonight.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Hoping you're feeling better now and you were able to go shopping!
