we are now having our first snow day of the season, school buses cancelled all over this area.
I am so glad I work in town now !

Our school is cancelled today for the 2nd day in a row!! EEK! It's only Nov. 18th ~ could be a long winter!

********** MILESTONE DAY **********


Good Morning, Friends.

And oh, what a morning it is!
Not only have we reached our final Milestone of the 2014 Countdown, we have declined to SINGLE DIGITS to Thanksgiving!

Days to Thanksgiving: 9 (Single Digits, alright!)
Days to Christmas Day: 36 (Five weeks from tomorrow!)

And as of TODAY, we commence the Home Stretch run to Christmas Day 2014, with ninety percent of the journey now completed!

(Wow! This year has really raced by.)


Well, we had one last warm day yesterday as the temps "soared" into the mid 60's. It came with rain, however.
Now this morning, we are at 31 cold degrees with the promise of 19 tonight, which would be a record for the date.
BRRRRR!!

Chilly down here this morning, about 30°F and windy. I don't mind the cold, but the wind is tough to bear!

Jacob is not feeling well. He thinks he has an ear infection, so I guess we'll take him to the doctor. He's pretty pitiful when he's sick, but so far he hasn't tried to get out of school. What a trooper!

The wind chill will probably stay below zero all day from the sounds of it so I don't know if I will venture out or not. I'll most likely just stay in and try to get some stuff down around here. My headaches have actually been a lot worse over the last year and they were starting to attribute that to my thyroid, so they started me on medicine for that, because my migraine wasn't helping enough, but then the medicine made my thyroid go in reverse. Now that it's back to the high side again, my headaches are really bad again. My doctor doesn't want to do anything about it, so I'm looking at changing family doctors. I can't live with daily headaches, when there is truly a fix.

Weekends are the best time to catch up on sleep - you are right!
