Christmas Countdown - 2014

Evening all.

It's been a hectic day, I also feel a little under the weather. I think I might have caught Jacob's cold. Anyway it's nothing major.

I was invited to school for a special assembly to see Jacob receive another award for math. Once we got back home it's been non stop. I did manage to put a few decorations out on the shelf. Yaaaay!

I found a few things I bought in the January sales - I always like rediscovering new stuff.

Feeling a bit lightheaded, I just hope things don't get worse . I hate being ill.

Good morning, everyone!

How is your first Tuesday of the Christmas Season?! It's a windy winter-like morning in Ottawa. Temperatures are hovering around freezing, but wind gusts upwards of 45 km/h are certainly making this a lot chillier!

Last night, I took a couple photos of the two houses with Christmas lights on my street. I think I will post them tonight. I didn't get an opportunity to do it last night. I was exhausted. I returned home from the gym just before 7, had dinner, and then Kim and I had to pickup a few things. I fell asleep on the couch around 10pm. I needed that rest, apparently!

I don't know what is happening tonight. I think we're going to a local clothing store (Allegro). They just received their shipment of brand new Christmas sweaters on Saturday. We need to see if we can find a new one (or two)!

Lastly, the local station that plays Christmas music has (almost) switched over to full on Christmas music. At the moment, they are playing about 70% Christmas music. It's great to hear!

The first 'Pines Day of the Christmas Season is tomorrow! Exciting! Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Merry Christmas!

Update: Kim's grandmother is making some progress. She was sitting up yesterday, eating, and talking to the doctors and her family. They are running some tests on her today and will probably be moving her to Ottawa today or tomorrow. We suspect she will only be here for a week!

Temps are dropping again...good night to stay inside & watch Christmas movies &/or cook/bake!!

Quick prayer request ~ My Mom #2 (my best friends mom) is in surgery right now for a total knee replacement ~ she is 81 years old & very active...sure hope everything goes VERY well for her! xx Thanks! :smile:

I hope all my friends in the North are staying warm! Man, that is one heck of a snowstorm.

Today has been "Daddy Day Care" at my house. Babysitter got sick and I had to stay home. I've got 112 sick days, so I've got a few to burn. I just hate missing work. However, Bambina and I have played and played. It's been a lot of fun. I've washed dishes, done laundry, cooked supper, and given the baby a bath. Doc is gonna be happy when she comes home.

I hope to be back later tonight to check in. Hope all is well! Brad, I hope Jacob gets better!

Hey there. All good over here...just the weather is way too warm for this time of the year....around 10 degrees everyday....it´s supposed to be around 5 highest around NOvember....I hope our Winter will more of Winter tho than last year...it was 15 degrees celsius on Christmas....not funny...it was colder on Easter Day this year than Christmas last year....lol

I'll gladly ship you some of our cool weather Track!!!!!

Busy and rushed again today. Seems to be the office norm these days.
But thinking of you all.

Our high temp for the day is 26. Except for the lack of snow, this is a perfect winter day. Hope it is a sign of things to come. The long range winter forecast looks promising.

With this weather, I'm pumped for the Christmas season. I've talked the wife into getting started decorating this evening. Will listen to Christmas music on my drive home shortly, (Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Johnny Mathis, Amy Grant, Michael W Smith, Burl Ives).
