Goodnight, Buddy!!!! Talk to you later!!!!!!

A Sunday hello :-) from here to wherever you are!

Things on my mind today. More trouble may be on the way. We should know more later tomorrow.

That doesn't sound very merry - thinking of you and hoping for goooood things.

We have that same winter storm advisory - ours is between 7pm & Noon tomorrow. Says 3-5" by noon!! :snowball:

Auntie Mistletoe Dear ~ your posts are so heartwarming & Christmassy! I'm glad you are in a good place with your Mom & that you had such a good time yesterday!!! :-D

That's sweet of you to say, Holiday - I miss this place when I'm not here, but once a day something reminds me of Christmas and y'all!

The snow arrived here late Sunday night and this one is going to stick around unless we get some rain. Sure wish they'd mend the pot-holes on the roads quickly before they lock up the gravel until next Spring - last time, they couldn't get at it until May.

Hello everyone! First congrats to all the folks getting snow...we are cold in the 20's but sunny and no snow in the forecast until tues the 25th! My baby sister and bro in law are coming to my house and Brandi's folks are coming in from Boston so I pray no snow storms are going to hinder their travels.

I have to admit friends, that I have been in no Christmas mood this year...I am trying I really am but so far no go. I guess it's a lot of things without turning this post into a therapy session, but turning 40 in 2 weeks has got me bummed...not a lot of ppl may not understand I and I get that, but just trust me it's an issue for me..but anyway I have enjoyed the Halloween fall season, and I get a little sad when the leaves are all gone from the trees. In the years I have been a member here I have always had the spirit and so I practically lived online here...so I just hope between now and December I will have the spirit!!! Hope everyone is hunkered down for this winter storms that is plowing through the Midwest,Ohio valley,Northeast today and tomorrow...and then the artic air that is following!!

I know people who have taken it harder turning 40 than 50 or 60, but maybe this will help you keep a merry thought in your head ...

Searching For a Merry Feeling
Written by Auntie Mistletoe (Based on the tune, ‘The Little White Cloud that Cried‘, by Johnny Ray) Just a little something I made up in the shower a couple of years ago.

I went searching for a merry feeling
I headed into the downtown core
Cedar boughs, lights and bows adorned the shops
Sale signs in every window and on every door

I went searching for a merry feeling
Spotted a couple huddled in a doorway, less fortunate than I
Carollers standing on every other corner
Church Bells resonating across the sky

I went searching for a merry feeling
Headed out onto a country road
I came upon a living Nativity
The wise farmer approached, carrying a heavy load

The stranger understood what I was seeking
And this is what I was told,
“If you are searching for a merry feeling
You will search until your body turns cold.

I’m sure you know joy is something from within
Filled with the traditions and celebrations you hold dear
If it vanishes from your city
It’s up to you to keep it near.”

I went home feeling rather silly
For having doubted what I knew all along
The merry feeling we all hold deep inside
Pumps through me with a fresh new song.

I woke up from my daydream in the shower
Knowing I had to share with all my friends
The secret to keeping very merry at Christmas
Is sharing memories; I hope it never ends.

Festive Regards my Merry Friends,
A. Mistletoe

:whisper: And now I must go bond with Mr. O'Malley who is tapping my leg with his tail impatiently waiting for his cuddle time.

Keep a merry thought in your head, everyone! I have to go out of town on business just for two days, I'll try to connect tomorrow night from the hotel.

the storm continues to storm, the snow continues to fall. This system seems to be stuck over us. Ride home even in town was long and slippery.

I slipped and fell coming out of work, landed smack on my knee that I injured last summer. It is tender and turning colors but I can walk ok.
Someone stopped right away to help me to my feet and then to my van, she even cleaned it off for me. Will see how it feels in the morning, but I think it will be fine.

wow, that wind is really rattling the windows ! glad our power is staying on. I think school buses will not be running again tomorrow since this is supposed to go on all night.

Praying your knee will be all right! It is barely snowing here. Just a light dusting so far, but it is enough to make roads and sidewalks a bit icy. Be safe tomorrow!!!

Happy Milestone Day!!!

No snow here , but plenty of rain and wind.

As we feared, more trouble...Mr. is scheduled for eye surgery on Wednesday. In May he had a retinal tear in one eye that they repaired with laser surgery. Now he has tears in the other eye that need more extensive surgery. The good news is that the surgeon is confident that the surgery will help. We've had so many misfortunes in recent weeks that I'm jittery.

Apologies for the downer.

MC, you both are in my thoughts.

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, Friends.

And oh, what a morning it is!
Not only have we reached our final Milestone of the 2014 Countdown, we have declined to SINGLE DIGITS to Thanksgiving!

Days to Thanksgiving: 9 (Single Digits, alright!)
Days to Christmas Day: 36 (Five weeks from tomorrow!)

And as of TODAY, we commence the Home Stretch run to Christmas Day 2014, with ninety percent of the journey now completed!

(Wow! This year has really raced by.)

Well, we had one last warm day yesterday as the temps "soared" into the mid 60's. It came with rain, however.
Now this morning, we are at 31 cold degrees with the promise of 19 tonight, which would be a record for the date.
BRRRRR!!

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Guys!
And try to stay warm, wherever you are.

We have made it to the best 10% of the year!!! Wooohooo!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Chilly down here this morning, about 30°F and windy. I don't mind the cold, but the wind is tough to bear!

Jacob is not feeling well. He thinks he has an ear infection, so I guess we'll take him to the doctor. He's pretty pitiful when he's sick, but so far he hasn't tried to get out of school. What a trooper!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I hope Jacob is feeling better.

Good evening. Just wanted to say hello quick. Busy day, I had a few errands to run after work and then I went to visit my parents for a little while, they're leaving for Florida tomorrow. I still can't believe they won't be here on Thanksgiving, I'm going to miss them. Anyway, I spent the rest of the day catching up with my daily chores. I'm going to turn in soon. I hope everyone is well and had a nice day. Sending get well wishes to all who are feeling under the weather. And I'm keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers. Enjoy the rest of the evening ~
Goodnight!
