Update: Mr. reports that yesterday's operation was a success, and during his follow-up visit today the surgeon repaired yet another tear that he found. Mr. says his eye is tired and sore, but it WORKS. Hooray! He's also wiped out from the tensions of yesterday and today, so he's going to crash for a while. He's earned it. Hope he's feeling better when I get home.

Awesome news MerryCarey!!! Thanks for the update!!! Wishing him a speedy recovery!!!

Good morning, everyone!

I missed you all yesterday! It was a busy day at school. It was nice to stop in to the 'Pines though. Carl's Fortune Fired Twinkies were a great idea! Although I think they really just provided obvious statements for comic relief. Imagine that?

I'm off today. I was really hoping for a call to work, but nothing came. Thursday seems to be a fairly dead day for supply work this year. Despite not working, I have a few things to do today. Not much time to sit around!

I hope everyone has greatly enjoyed their first week of the Christmas Season! The signs are popping up everywhere! Merry Christmas!

Update: Mr. reports that yesterday's operation was a success, and during his follow-up visit today the surgeon repaired yet another tear that he found. Mr. says his eye is tired and sore, but it WORKS. Hooray! He's also wiped out from the tensions of yesterday and today, so he's going to crash for a while. He's earned it. Hope he's feeling better when I get home.

That is great to hear!!!!! Praying he will continue to heal quickly!!

Good afternoon gang!! For some reason I'm having a hard time getting caught up today!! Hoping to catch up yet this afternoon, but I wanted to jump in & wish you all a Merry Thursday! Ahhhhh ~ Friday Eve! My hubby is off work Friday & Monday ~ lucky duck!

Tonight 3 (maybe 4) friends are coming to our house to make Cornucopia's for our Thanksgiving festivities next week!

(And if they turn out looking like that I will be super happy!) :lol:
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it! This is the 1st time they have all been over together since our remodel (even though it's not totally done) ~ we'll see just how much room I really have on my new island. :smile: I'm planning to have Christmas music on while we work & some pine candles burning... even though my 1 friend is big time anti "Christmas before Thanksgiving" - I'm sure she will have a comment! But the rest of us will love it! (and she will too...)

GREETINGS EVERYONE!!!!!!
I know it's been a while sense I have been on here participating and getting to know what's been going on in everyone's life......I'm sorry

I've moved into my new Apartment in October, and it took weeks to get settled, plus working part-time at Michaels Arts & Crafts, actually it is just seasonal part-time, not enough to tell you the truth. I work the extremely early shift, 3-9 or 5-9 AM!!!!!!!
I also have been baking up a storm for the Christmas Bazaar, which took place last Sunday. I baked for a whole week, plus my part-time job. It was a HUGE challenge which I set for my self, but I did reach it after ALL!

Here is what I baked ALL last week! I baked four Buttermilk, Lemon, Blueberry pound cakes, four Banana, Cranberry, Pecan Breads, four Panettone's, two different flavours, 5 dozen Russian Tea Cakes, or otherwise known as "Snowballs"( which was always a favorite of mine when I was a child), I also made my infamous Gooey Sticky Buns, with carmelized Pecans, and dried candied fruit, with a touch of orange zest, and then I topped it all off with my All natural Carrot, Pineapple, Pecan Cake, with a Marscapone, Cream Cheese, crushed Pinapple frosting......Oh it was SOOOOOOOOO delicious!! I also made 5 quarts of Butternut Squash, Apple Cider Soup with Curry Masala, and garnished with Freshly Roasted Ginger strips......I had several little meltdowns.....you know.....pulling out the hair, cursing that I put so much pressure upon myself, rolling on the floor screaming.....I'm must be CRAZY to do this!!!!!! Just my average typical self.........LOL!

I sold out of my soups, with orders for next week also! The Carrot cake sold out, the panettones.....gone.....most of the Lemon Blueberry pound cake......gone....and half of the Snowballs gone.....and at least two Banana breads sold. But I do have orders for soups next week, and someone has ordered a carrot cake for the Holidays in December. It was great I made contacts, and some tenants here are interested in Meals, and there maybe a possibility of me catering a Christmas event for 60 persons in Mid-December. Oh....and some of my Sticky buns sold, but the leftovers I've been eating......and they are sooooo.......yummy!

Now I want to say to Snowflake22, I am so happy to hear Harlowe will be healing soon, sorry I was not here to pray for the little one. Holiday, I hope the best for "MR", glad he came out of the surgery well. Greetings to Bradmac.....Merry Carry.....hello! Spirit....HELLO! And to all of my other MMC friends.....I missed you guys!!! I can't believe how quickly it's all going.....OY.........so fast....I can hardly catch a breath!!!!!

Here in Montreal people have their houses and apartments lite up for the holidays, trees are up, decorations abound, but there will be much more to come. I have started putting up some decorations, the lights will be next, I'm listening to Christmas Carols at this moment, we had some snow the past couple of days, and cold! I'm LOVIN IT!!!!!!!!
I'm going to try and be on here more, I'll try for the weekend, in between making three different soups, which I have orders for!

So to each and everyone of you dear friends of MMC, have a fabulous day! And may all be well with each and everyone of YOU and your families, and little pets of all varities!!!!!!! God loves you one and all!

• It's Elizabeth's birthday! She finally got a cell phone, and she is tickled pink! We're also taking her to see the latest Hunger Games movie tonight with her friends.
• It's Jacob's Class Ring Ceremony Day! The seniors present the class rings to the juniors in a ceremony following a luncheon with the parents.
• It's our 20th wedding anniversary! I'm still the luckiest guy I know!

Merry Thursday!

Wow I am amazed at the snowfall in some areas of the US! Stay warm and safe everyone.

I have a few things to catch up with today and expecting about 4 deliveries from my recent shopping online. I also want to start opening the branches of the Christmas tree ready for tomorrow. As it is a new tree it is all compact so if I start today it should be less hassle tomorrow.

Things are a little challenging these days and like a couple of you, my spirit has slumped a little. Anyway I remind myself that this to shall pass

we were short staffed today because the bad weather kept some from getting there. So lunches were early and last part of the day long.
But despite not feeling good, I made it through. I have that coming down with a cold feeling, but not sure that is what it is since I am also allergic to the poinsettias.
One more week and my eldest moves into her new apartment.!!! We are all excited. Once that is done and Christmas is over I get to start the great new home search. But first the most important, Christmas !!!!
