Christmas Countdown - 2014

we were short staffed today because the bad weather kept some from getting there. So lunches were early and last part of the day long.
But despite not feeling good, I made it through. I have that coming down with a cold feeling, but not sure that is what it is since I am also allergic to the poinsettias.
One more week and my eldest moves into her new apartment.!!! We are all excited. Once that is done and Christmas is over I get to start the great new home search. But first the most important, Christmas !!!!

A bit of good luck ... I was picking up a prescription and had to wait in the aisle with the Christmas decorations---most of them 50% off! I wanted some cheap shiny ornaments to fill a big vase, and found some plastic candy canes (but they look like glass) to fill a crystal cookie jar. They both look so festive on the piano!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

What an eventful day today!

• It's Elizabeth's birthday! She finally got a cell phone, and she is tickled pink! We're also taking her to see the latest Hunger Games movie tonight with her friends.
• It's Jacob's Class Ring Ceremony Day! The seniors present the class rings to the juniors in a ceremony following a luncheon with the parents.
• It's our 20th wedding anniversary! I'm still the luckiest guy I know!

Update: Mr. reports that yesterday's operation was a success, and during his follow-up visit today the surgeon repaired yet another tear that he found. Mr. says his eye is tired and sore, but it WORKS. Hooray! He's also wiped out from the tensions of yesterday and today, so he's going to crash for a while. He's earned it. Hope he's feeling better when I get home.

I think she's starting to feel better, I just gave her the first dose of antibiotics, so hopefully they'll kick in quickly [emoji173]️

Thank you again for the thoughts & prayers for Harlowe. I posted in the prayer requests thread, but the tests showed that she has some bad bacteria, so we have to pick up a few prescriptions for her today. Hopefully, this will get her well again [emoji175]
