"Currently playing on Kringle Radio: Loading..." The elves' annual favorite Christmas Eve tune.

Other than that, I'm just stoked that it is getting to be so close to Thanksgiving and the Christmas season....I'm playing Christmas music almost every day now and I'm itching to start decorating.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Love the blow molds!!!!

Hope Zack likes the new car and that the contractors get the cable line finished soon!!!

Have a great weekend, Xmastidings!!!!!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Another day off. It's a perfect day to do some laundry. Kim and I are also heading to Cornwall today. This weekend, her nephews are celebrating their eighth birthday on Sunday. Kim's sister is also celebrating her 30th birthday on Saturday evening. It will be a weekend full of celebrations, indeed.

I found a few more Christmas Blossoms sights. I am uploading them to facebook and will be posting to the Blossoms thread momentarily. We're a week in the Season and it certainly is in full swing!

Speaking of full swing, I failed to mention that Kim and I found our brand new Christmas sweaters for our sweater parties this year. We'll have to share them at a later date!

Well, laundry is almost done. I should tend to that. Have a great Friday, everyone! The weekend is nearly here.

Have a safe trip to cornwall!!!! Happy Birthday to Kim's Nephews and Sister!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend, Brent!!!!!

Good Evening, Buddy!!!!! Hope you have a magical night as well!!!!!

got this public service announcement....

I felt awful when I heard they closed the 401 and other highways - folks that were at the same workshop I attended had to stay an extra night because the hwy to Parry Sound was closed too.

It's not the most unusual snowfall - I remember heaps of snow like this, but it's so early - bunch of schools had to close too - not surprising some of your staff couldn't make it to work.

Hope you get some relief soon, Auntie.
Enjoy your warm drink!
Have a merry time with your Christmas tunes!! [emoji445][emoji319]

Thank you - my husband was concerned when he saw me so my eyes must have looked as bad as they felt - be nice if I could take them out of their sockets, rinse them off and stick them back in - they're better today and just my hands and legs are a bit itchy. Not to worry.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

What an eventful day today!
  • It's Elizabeth's birthday! She finally got a cell phone, and she is tickled pink! We're also taking her to see the latest Hunger Games movie tonight with her friends.
  • It's Jacob's Class Ring Ceremony Day! The seniors present the class rings to the juniors in a ceremony following a luncheon with the parents.
  • It's our 20th wedding anniversary! I'm still the luckiest guy I know!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Congratulations all around! October and December are our busy celebratory months with birthdays and such - love that Elizabeth and Jacob are so involved with their school events. I wish I had been more involved when I was in school.

You may be right---perhaps I should look for my Heather! Heather reminds me of Anne Shirley's "mirror friend."

The Santa ceramic is partly to make others merry, because I want to put candy canes in it for people at the office. That helps a bit with the guilt.

:cold: I think she's getting me two gifts this year unless I can part with the sheep puppet I picked up - as you work its mouth it sings the entire song from the Sound of Music - the Goatherd song - I couldn't resist. Perhaps I'll let Pretend Heather give me the musical goat puppet and after Christmas I'll treat myself to a Rudolph and Sam ornament - maybe one will show up under the tree if I give enough hints.

My mom used to teach ceramics and we had a sleigh for our Christmas cards and a Santa candy dish among other things that she made herself - I'm glad you treated yourself.

Good afternoon gang!! For some reason I'm having a hard time getting caught up today!! Hoping to catch up yet this afternoon, but I wanted to jump in & wish you all a Merry Thursday! Ahhhhh ~ Friday Eve! My hubby is off work Friday & Monday ~ lucky duck!

Tonight 3 (maybe 4) friends are coming to our house to make Cornucopia's for our Thanksgiving festivities next week!

(And if they turn out looking like that I will be super happy!)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it! This is the 1st time they have all been over together since our remodel (even though it's not totally done) ~ we'll see just how much room I really have on my new island. I'm planning to have Christmas music on while we work & some pine candles burning... even though my 1 friend is big time anti "Christmas before Thanksgiving" - I'm sure she will have a comment! But the rest of us will love it! (and she will too...)

Hope you are all having a great day!!!

Grapes and cheese in an horn you can eat - that's my kind of cornucopia. Mmmm - looked like the ones you made worked out fine!

We are enjoying Classic Christmas movie Thursday on Hallmark! "A Christmas Carol" w/ Alastair Sim is on [emoji319][emoji92][emoji320]
Holiday Affair is to follow!

That's always been my favourite - I also enjoy the Muppet Christmas Carol.

Anyone else have trouble getting on the past two days?

No trouble getting on, but I've been using my transformer tablet and it keeps jumping around when I try to go from scrolling to keyboard for speed - makes me a bit dizzy and then it settles down again.

Good morning everyone! Just about to start breakfast for Brandi and get her going....we had a low of 30F not too impressive compared to the rest of the country! But it is still late Fall...I ended up cancelling last weekend's ski trip b/c most of the 3 resorts close to home still had a lot of ice on the trails v/s real snow..so I am going to wait until thanksgiving weekend and take my baby sister and bro in law with me. My inlaws are going to go too...they are use to skiing in the northeast so the rockies will be a nice change of pace for them...well I am about to make French toast and coffee maybe that will make it easier to wake her up!! Have a great Friday everyone!!!!

I haven't been skiing since I broke my leg when I was twelve. I really had no experience or lessons, it was my first time on downhill skis - I had a pair for cross-country that I got for Christmas the year before so it didn't work out too well for me. I watch the skiing events whenever the winter Olympics are on TV. Enjoy!

Thank you! The surgeon saw him for a follow-up yesterday, and the eye is doing well. We're both relieved.

You are so right. A day doesn't pass that I don't think about the people here, even if I'm too busy or rushed to come by an reply to everyone.

Thank you!

That's good news - I feel silly talking about my itchy eyes after what Mr. has gone through.

WHAT!?!
I'm sure you'll like it. The screenwriter took some liberties and didn't stick exactly to Dickens, but it works. And Sim's portrayal is magnificent. I love the musical score. I bought a CD that has an orchestral suite woven from the themes in the movie.

Trivia: Noel Langley, the screenwriter, was also one of the principal writers on the screenplay of M-G-M's "The Wizard of Oz."

I've watched Alistair Sim's version at least four times and others as well. I like it when he's trying to use his upset stomach logic to explain Marley's ghost

"You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese..." and how giddy he gets at the end - but I don't want to spoil it.

Hi Everyone! Sorry for not being around much the last 2 weeks, but Santa recently gave me a present of an opportunity that for a Christmas enthusiast and vintage item collector I had to capitalize on right away!. A well established antique store that is owned by a friend of Joan and I's offered us the opportunity to open a 2nd location in a very high traffic area and I was aboard immediately! In the last two weeks I have sorted through, researched, priced and transported thousands of vintage Christmas items, my 2 car garage is now a warehouse for the store, and our store is up and running!

Anyway just had to share this incredible project that I have been taking on the last 2 weeks! I hope everyone is in great spirits and doing great on this week before Thanksgiving!!

That's great - how exciting!

It appears that with the snow - comes more festive lights and folks in my city decorating earlier than usual - I'll keep a look out for some spots that are photo worthy to share in the blossom thread. Can't wait to see the Christmas sweaters!

:-P I discovered where all that music was coming from on my thumb drive. I had forgotten that I downloaded the music from my computer at work because I was switching office computers and didn't want to lose my music - I didn't even realize it was all still on there because in the end I wound up keeping the tower and just got a new monitor instead. Nothing was sorted on the thumb drive - it came out in alphabetical order instead of in genre folders and such.

BCMS was over by the time I hit Waniapitei and then I was entertained with Pandora Records "Santa's Toy Shop' from a way back when.

If I drove long enough I eventually would have heard RJD's Melton Mistletoe Mix from 2007, etc.

Mystery solved.

The song that carried me into the fuel bar to gas up before returning the rental was Rush's Tom Sawyer - so it was an odd musical journey.

Mr. O'Cat seemed to miss me and I wasn't gone very long - he's sleeping beside me right now - guessing he wants to make sure I don't forget to toss him a few of his grain free treats before bed.

:hi: Enjoy your evening - tomorrow I'm off to do some Christmas shopping for the grand children and pick up my mom's ***** cat shirt - their software got all wonky so that caused a delay. Good thing I started that little merry project so early.

Keep a merry thought in your head!

Good Evening, Buddy!!!!! Hope you have a magical night as well!!!!!
