Anna lives the box our new Christmas tree came in. She's made it her "house" and has decorated it. She's been playing in it all evening and has asked if she can sleep in it. :)

I love the imagination of children!

That is so cute!!!!

Good morning!
My oldest daughter turns 21 today. Can't believe it, the years have gone by so fast. She's such a doll and I'm so blessed to have her. She went out last night with her sisters and a group of friends to celebrate. Today will be a family day, we'll be going out to dinner and then back home for birthday cake.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hope your daughter had a wonderful birthday!!

Enjoy the warmer temps!

She had a rough day on Friday, but yesterday was much better. She seemed much more like herself, enjoyed her walks, are good, and was playful. Fingers crossed that is the way it is again, today [emoji171]

Thank for asking!

Hope you have a wonderful day too, HmG!!

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to your Thanksgiving week in the US.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much. It's just been an awful year to be honest. This past Monday my aunt passed away. She was also my Godmother and lived up to that in every way possible every day of my life. She is the only person in both our families besides my parents who never forgot my son's birthday or our anniversary. Ever.

This past July she was under hospice care, young, but she had a rare form of cancer that doctors are not familiar with in terms of treatment, none the less, her hospice nurse advised her not to try and go out, but she managed to make it to the store just to make sure Noah received an 18th birthday card from her.

She was just everything to me. One of the only people in my life who ever made me feel like I was good enough, as is. She taught me to bake all of our traditional family Christmas cookies, cakes and decorate the house over, filling it with love and joy at Christmas. She dedicated all of her time and effort to care for the homeless and women's domestic violence centers.

I can't even wrap my head around the fact that she won't be present this Christmas. Or that I'll never again receive a Christmas card the last week of November with a $20 check for cookie money, that I never cash and ends up part of the card box that I keep her cards in. I never could bring myself to cash her checks after she went on disability due to the surgeries.

My son isn't well, nor is our business and I feel disconnected from everything at this time. So I apologize for my lack of participation - but like a sick dog , I tend to keep to myself when things are down. I just felt an explanation was warranted, because I love this board and all of you.

Hoping to find some Christmas Spirit to renew things.

Sending big hugs!! I'm so sorry for your loss. She sounds like she was an amazing person ~ her spirit will live on through you! Sorry you have had a rough year! I'll be keeping you & your family in my thoughts & prayers.

It is sooooo windy outside, I could hardly walk back to the building from the mailbox! CRAZY!!!!!

Thanks, MerryCarey!

Been praying for you and Mr.! I haven't been around the past couple of days - Hope he did well with his surgery!

Happy Monday to you too! Time really is flying - it's crazy! Weekend was very nice & as always, it went too fast! Did some Christmas open house shopping with the lake neighbor ladies Saturday afternoon, then went to a chicken dinner benefit. We had my FIL's family Thanksgiving yesterday, then met up with friends after. Poof, weekend over! You have a great short work week too!!!

I hope you are feeling better today CS!!!

Good evening,

The worst of Turkey-geddon 2014 is now past!!! It is all downhill from now on, I am so relieved at this point. One more day of my pre-holiday "marathon." (6 work days in a row is the Massachusetts limit in retail.) cheesy
One of the few times a year the Bengals were on local TV was today, of course I was scheduled to work, but I DVR'ed it and watched the full game in just about an hour and saw them win. Then caught the rest of Home Alone and then The Grinch came on so a good night so far,
I am heading to bed soon, I am beat.

I hope you all had a great Sunday.

Good night, everyone,

Yahooooooo!!! :yahoo:

Hi! Well, It's Monday! Good morning~

Here we are, off to the start of another work week and for some reason, I had this really weird feeling this morning. You know what I mean, the kind like where you get this really weird feeling, but you can't exactly put your finger on it...

Well, I just found out what it is, my boss called me and his 2 other favorite / dependable guys into the executive conference room and he informed us that he is putting in his 2 week notice at lunch. Just great! He is just about the best thing that has ever happened to this company, he's a great boss, phenomenal engineer, good person and I consider him a friend as well...I sort of feel a little sick to my stomach at the moment.

I think I have a case of the Mondays.....

I saw this on facebook and it took me way to long to get it-

Very cute!!!

Good Morning y´all. Not such a great night for us....Kandice came down with a cold and a headache....She is home from school and we´ll go in to see the pediatrician...I hope it doesn´t develop into anything else but a regular cold...so cross ya fingers for us, will ya?

Fingers crossed! xx I hope she feels better quick!

Good morning, MMC~

Happy Monday!

We nearly reached 50 degrees yesterday, now we have a severe winter weather advisory going on through tomorrow. Snow, white out conditions, etc. Crazy weather!

Wishing you a blessed start to your week~

I'm very sorry to hear that about your boss. What a bummer.
Sending (((Hugs))) to you!

Stay safe, CS!

That is similar to what we looked like yesterday! Crazy.

Our snow melted, but is back with a vengeance right now =]

Thanks!

It was very fun & festive!! I didn't buy much ~ only some candles/tarts. (which smell awesome!) Most shops were so crowded, we didn't want to stand in line to check out! They had fun treats & drinks at all the shops. It was a good day! Thanksgiving was fine too!

Snow

On another/ lighter note, I have a report from Foot's Forecast as follows:

Get Ready For BOOM!
MAJORITY OF COMPUTER MODELS POINTING TO A
PERIOD OF HIGH IMPACT HEAVY SNOW WEDNESDAY PM
ACROSS THE NORTHEAST METROPOLITAN REGION.

10:45 AM EST 11/24 UPDATED: LATEST SNOWFALL PROBABILITIES from the NOAA Weather Prediction Center should give ANYONE pause if you plan to travel Wednesday, or are in essential services. Teachers, this is a great opportunity to show your students why understanding the legend on a map is critical to good decision-making.

WRONG: The issue WILL NOT be snow covered roads, it will be VISIBILITY due to heavy wet snow combined with high volume traffic. One person decided to slow to a crawl on 95 at 3 PM in the snow, and BOOM. There goes your holiday weekend. Think about it. Plan ahead. Consider how you can adjust your plans now before reality hits and its too late.

OUR FEAR: Unless something changes drastically in the storm track trends, this series of unfortunate events on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving could become the worst day of mass travel in modern times, if we have a repeat of January 26, 2011.

3:20 AM EST 11/24 Overnight, a trend among most computer models began to take shape, and is centering on what could be considered the "worst case scenario." For those following our Options A, B and C -- it suggests one outcome: Our Goose Is Cooked.
· Despite today's summer-like feel of temperatures spiking to the 60s in many locations, an equally fast crash back to the 40s comes on Tuesday;
· Sun angle is now comparable to mid-January, so daytime heating will be a non-issue;
· By Wednesday Noon, cold rain from the Blue Ridge to the Mid-Atlantic should begin mixing with and rapidly changing to snow.
· In just a 6-hour period, precip charts shown below for both BWI and PHL airports depict that over 0.50" of liquid is expected to fall AS SNOW. Need a visual? The "snow monsoon" of January 26, 2011 is our closest example of what to expect.
