Good Morning MMC !!!
the wind continues to blow and rattle my windows, temps have gone down and all the snow is gone.

4 more days and my daughter gets the keys to her new apartment and I get a weekend of work taking all her things over there. She is so excited, and I am so happy for her. Plus I get my living room back and can start to decorate !!! Yeah !

Off to work in an hour, then a union meeting tonight.

Good morning, friends! Hope you all have a great start to your week!

Last afternoon/evening, I seemed to start coming down with what the kids had. I starting running a fever and just felt blah. Thank goodness DH was here - I had to work last night, so I went to bed. Work called around 9 pm and told me I had to take a mandatory on-call because it was slow - I was okay with that, since I wasn't feeling the best! Anyway, I got a good night of sleep and seem to be feeling somewhat better.

Both of the kids headed to school today. They just both have the lingering colds, but seem to be getting better. It's that time of the year!

I plan to just do some wash today and decorate a few more things. As of right now, we plan on decorating the tree Friday. Can't wait!

I really hope you are feeling better. It is only downside to this time of year - colds, flu and viruses everywhere. I dislike being ill and especially during the season. There is so much to do and enjoy - who wants to be sick. Wishing you and the kids get better soon. Take good care.

Heya....been tidying up the place a bit and played some Memory with Kandice....then we watched two christmas movies.....now it´s time to rest a little...maybe even a nap for her (she´s 8 she doesn´t sleep during the day....but I hope she might fall asleep today, cos she´s not feeling so well)....I know it would do her good. Her nose is sore from all the nose blowing and everything....she still has a headache...the fever is gone.

The kitties sleep now, too....they been fighting again.....Spike doesn´t really care.....but when Stripey sees him....she hisses at him.....then he starts hunting her......not so nice....but oh well...I guess that´s normal....they are both resting now and usually chill close to each other....just from time to time they go havok

 

[Holiday]

Well my niece was feeling better by the time my sister picked her up. So I had her dusting for me while I diced up all of the celery and onion. I got my eggs boiled too. Also got mom to do all of the tests online that she had to do before tomorrow. So it's been a pretty productive day. Going to rest a while before finishing dinner and cleaning out the fridge.

Sounds like you had a successful day! I'm glad your niece was feeling better!!!

I did some shopping today, I'm trying to get this kitchen finished up by Thursday. I bought a new teapot, a fruit bowl and a canister set today, I love it all. I'm going to take a ride to HomeGoods after dinner to see if I can pick up a few more things. It's really starting to come together now, I'm so happy. I'll post pictures soon. I'll pop back in later this evening. I hope everyone is having a great day!

I have made it!!! I am off tomorrow, Wednesday is pretty much just going through the motions. This by far has been the roughest November I have ever had, but my team helped get us through. I am, as I have been all month, beat. Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day here, so with the big snow storm coming I NEED to get my outdoor decorating done. I am winding down watching A Christmas Carol (1951), but I will not make it much longer.

I hope you all had a great day, and everyone stays safe in any rough weather you may experience.

Good morning, everyone!

Happy ONE MONTH until Christmas! It's incredible to think that one month from today, we will all be sitting around our beautifully decorated Christmas Trees with our families and loved ones, sharing the joy that we look forward to all year. It's also incredible to think that we still have one month left of this wonderful Christmas Season. The signs are everywhere. I'm hoping to see a bunch more today!

Today is another day off. I have work tomorrow. Hoping to have the rest of the workweek fill up tonight/tomorrow as well. Kim is off today, too, so we will be able to do everything during the day - when there is no/limited traffic rather than tonight.

It is going to be another windy day in Ottawa. Yesterday, we had wind at about 25mph and gusts that reached nearly 40mph. It should be a little less today, but the trees are still shaking!

Not much else is happening here. I am waiting for Kim to awaken and then we can figure out our plan for the day. Hopefully she wants to get everything done earlier rather than later. We'll see though!

Good morning mmc! I could not sleep and needed to feed James(who turned 2 last week I forgot to mention!) anyways after watching 10 minutes of the news I decided to log on here because I need(and it seems the whole USA)needs some Christmas spirit right about now! we are at 29F mild degrees and most of the snow on our block is gone except for the shaded areas! My inlaws from the Boston area are flying into Salt lake tonight and I hope they get out before the snow starts in Boston..I have to admit I have been terrible at keeping up with the weather this year. But anyways good Tuesday morning everyone!!! I hope you all are doing terrific!

Well, we hit 49 degrees Sunday, and it all melted. Then, we had a severe storm advisory yesterday, got 5 inches where we live, so the ground was empty less than 12 hours =] We had white out conditions, lots of blowing & drifting.

Oh man it just struck me that one month from today is Christmas day! Wow make it slow down someone! Our local radio top 40 pop station will start on Dec1st playing Christmas music...I am happy about that but I think they should have started this week at least!
