Molly had a great night, slept right through. Maggie was up and down again. It's so strange. She gets restless and then she'll start rolling around like somethings bothering her but we can't figure out what it is. Yesterday during her exam the doctor said she thinks she might have a tender spot on her back so we started her on an anti-inflammatory to see if that might help. I don't think there is anything wrong with her back but I was willing to try the pills for a few days. She doesn't have an ear infection, no fleas. I don't know. This dog is going to drive me to drink!
I can't believe it's getting so close to the big day!! Hope you are all doing well! We had a fun Christmas Day yesterday. Took the kids to the famous Macy's light show in the city (that's Philadelphia for us!)and it was so nice. It was rainy so not too crowded and just being in the city around Christmas always makes me happy!! View attachment 2833

Good Morning MMC!
Happy Sunday!
Wow, can't believe it's the 7th already! I'm heading out to do some shopping today. I have $30 in Kohl's cash that's going to expire tomorrow so I want to spend it. I'll probably go to the mall afterward, there are a few gift cards I want to pick up for the girls.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Hello everyone. Thank you all for the prayers and support! Y'all are the best and I truly value this community.
Bradmac, I'm praying as I read your family is going through some tough things.
Well, my kids are upset with the loss of another grandpa. But some fun things still happened. First of all, with Saint Nicholas Day, Nicholas still left some chocolate coins in their shoes over night. Then, our elf on the shelf left lots of candy canes, and introduced them to her new pet reindeer. My daughter was so excited to see the new friend who will be with Peppermint Patty this year.
I hope you all have a great Sunday!
Good Morning MMC !!

Ryan, I'm sorry for your family's loss, my friend.
Mrs. Hilda has had a tough weekend. She had a terrible reaction to the anesthesia, and she still can't stay awake. I've been here all weekend, and Nancy' staying tonight.
I'll check in later. Take care, all!

Hello everyone! First congrats to all the folks getting snow...we are cold in the 20's but sunny and no snow in the forecast until tues the 25th! My baby sister and bro in law are coming to my house and Brandi's folks are coming in from Boston so I pray no snow storms are going to hinder their travels.
I have to admit friends, that I have been in no Christmas mood this year...I am trying I really am but so far no go. I guess it's a lot of things without turning this post into a therapy session, but turning 40 in 2 weeks has got me bummed...not a lot of ppl may not understand I and I get that, but just trust me it's an issue for me..but anyway I have enjoyed the Halloween fall season, and I get a little sad when the leaves are all gone from the trees. In the years I have been a member here I have always had the spirit and so I practically lived online here...so I just hope between now and December I will have the spirit!!! Hope everyone is hunkered down for this winter storms that is plowing through the Midwest,Ohio valley,Northeast today and tomorrow...and then the artic air that is following!!

I totally understand getting upset about age... Please don't laugh, but when I turned 20 I cried... and each year since has gotten no better.. my mom is the same way. I just cannot handle aging at all. People always laugh because i'm young, but it is really a difficult thing to deal with and I absolutely dread my birthday every year.
Good afternoon!
Just put up some outdoor lights. I had been putting them on a yew hedge near our front door, but Mr. thinks they might detract from the Christmas tree visible through the front window. We have a cedar that's maybe 8 or 9 feet tall at the opposite corner of the house, so I put some C7 lights on that for the first time. Don't know how well I did---we'll have to wait for dark to see how they look. In front of the hedge I put a string of five pathway Santas. Each is lit from inside with white LEDs, and each holds a little lantern with a flickering yellow LED inside. It operates on batteries. Don't know how that will look until dark either! I'm a complete novice at outdoor deco. My attempts usually look pretty lame. No relation to the Griswolds at all.
Indoors I put up Santa's Quartet (Mr. Christmas) for the first time in several years. I decided I just had to find a spot for it and get it up and running again. Santa and three bears sing barbershop harmony when you switch it on. There are 15 different songs. I also have a Mr. Christmas music box with different song discs that I haven't set up in years, but I just don't have anyplace for it. Unless … hm … under the tree … ?
