Thanks! We took that pic the other night when my sisters & I were decorating at their house. He was a pretty good sport!

Good morning MMC! We made it through Monday!!! :rudolph:
I can't grasp that Christmas is in 16 days!!! When am I going to get my shopping done? I have so many movies to watch, & music to listen too & cookies to bake & candy to make & friends to visit ~ and I still have some lights/garland that are not up! EEK!!! I guess it's coming whether I get everything done or not! :smile:

Today is my Dad's 87th birthday! I'll have to stop in there at some point to wish him a happy b-day! Maybe at lunch, if they are home!

(This pic was taken the day after he had cataract surgery, so his eyes are a little puffy - poor guy!)

Last night I made 2 loaves of "everything bread" & a big crock pot full of "pot au feu" ~ I figured I will bring some of the stew to my friend who lost his Mom last week, & the rest of it to our friends who's son hit & killed the pedestrian over Thanksgiving weekend. My friend is really, really struggling with this. They have been through so much! SO sad anytime, but especially this time of year. Anyway, I will see if I can deliver the food after work today.

We told JP about Sidney this morning when he woke up, he was very numb to the news. My wife called out from work, and we kept the boys home.

Sidney was the best cat, he was the most loyal, loving creature, and he followed JP around like a little puppy. I wish we caught this sooner and he would still be here with us.

The little one is probably in shock...But try not to blame yourself, I mean the same result could have happened anyway...I am trying to be delicate here but I am sure if you would have known anything was wrong you would have taken him. Hope you all feel better soon!

Tell me about it, we have had no time to enjoy the season this year. We still aren't done decorating yet.

I know it seem like every year the period between the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas goes by faster and faster! I guess I will soon be having to put up my decorations Nov 1st instead of mid to late Nov. I just can't bring to myself to do it before Halloween though!

Since Halloween fell on a Friday this year, I took advantage of the weekend & decorated for Christmas Nov. 1st. I used to wait until after Thanksgiving, but I don't feel that's enough time to enjoy it all anymore. And I'm really glad I did!

These last few years with late thanksgivings have been rough!!! Not enough time!! Although I do feel fortunate that I get to "celebrate" Christmas all year round when others only get a few weeks. I am always on the hunt for presents and pieces of Christmas in stores all year so it really helps keep the season going!

I understand completely and I wish I could be like that...I think the last 20 years in the Military I have become to dang regimented I know I could do that on the 1st but I would have to overcome mental obstacles,,I think there are like rules for everything!lol But I think I will try to do what you do next year because it's just going by so fast! WHat makes me nuts is everyday on the radio they are counting down the shopping days until Christmas day and most people are just ready to get it over with, I think we are maybe the 10% of the ppl that actually love this time of year and don't want it to be over so fast!

Adrian thought I was in my own little marshmallow world, but still helped me!
We needed some Christmas cheer this year, and it made me happy at least! [emoji319]

I just noticed Hallmark Channel is advertising new Christmas movies for 2015 season! That makes me feel so good...thank goodness for them or I would be stuck watching dvd's, there is something about their movies that just make you feel better when you see them.
