Good Morning, Next-To-The-Last Fellow Weekenders.

And we have indeed reached the next to the final weekend before Christmas 2014.

Today's figure:
Days to Christmas Day: 12
And we are close -- dangerously close -- to being down to single digits.
(SINGLE DIGITS. Wow.
Just let that sink in, now.....)


Well, it was a bit warmer yesterday than the previous several days, not that it was truly warm.
(But any improvement is a plus.)
Right now, we see 33 degrees here on our digital thermometer.


Well, the rest of the Crowns and I are off to visit the executive mansion here in Raleigh today to see it all decked out in Christmas splendor.
(Will get a few photos for the Blossoms thread if security folks will allow!)

Good Morning, MMC!!

How are you this morning?

Mom & I are having fun! We had a nice dinner at home last night, we watched tv, hung out and caught up, and took a nice walk and looked at Christmas decorations. And she brought me lots of homemade cookies (bless her heart!).

Today, we plan to hit some antique & gift shops, and then go out for dinner.

It will be unseasonably warm today! We are supposed to reach 45 degrees, which is unheard of in EC in December! Our snow will probably melt, but that's ok. It will be back on Tuesday!

family Christmas party day is here. We have no snow but lots of Christmas spirit. Came home from work to find my kids had done much of the decorating already, and did a fantastic job of it !

I still have to run to the $ store and pick up some table cloths. LittleCS still needs some cheese for the dip she is making.

Now we will watch a movie until the stores open

I want to do some baking sometime this weekend but it sounds like we may do that as a family thing now instead of just me. It's also the only weekend that my sister has my niece's during the season so I want to do something fun with them. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! we had big plans today.. Visit the town business tree display, and then I was going to run to target to get a few things followed by Walmart and grab something I ordered online... Then the live nativity is tonight in town. All our plans are dashed because poor Jude threw up all night! on a positive note, everything in my house is washed and all surfaces sanitized so that's something ! We have been watching Christmas movies all day.. Rudolph, frosty, elf, planes, trains, and automobiles and now I turned on one on Netflix. So we are still making the best of a sick day!
