Hey, friends! Hope everyone is doing great. It's been a full two weeks since I posted last....don't think I have gone that long since I joined a few years ago.

Been in a tough spot. Doc is sick and on bedrest. We might lose Baby #2. I will spare you all the details, but we had a close call with her life. I had to rush her to the hospital and it was pretty dramatic.

With her on bedrest and having a one-year old and work, it has been pretty busy. We are so behind on Christmas stuff and I'm giving it a good go...but it has been a struggle. Hasn't dampened our spirits, so don't be down for us. It has just been a difficult time. Rest assured, all the Christmas food will be cooked, all the presents will be wrapped and bought, and all the spirit will be present.

I don't know who you talk to when you go to bed at night, but if you don't mind throwing in a prayer for ol' Coach and family, I sure would appreciate.

On a lighter note, I did find out that if you stand up in an emergency room and say either get me some help or y'all are going to end up taking me to jail, the cops will call your bluff. I wouldn't ever advise you to do that. I didn't get arrested, but I was enthusiastically assisted. They didn't go on lockdown or anything and they didn't put me in the car...but they did end up getting Doc some help.

Coach - sending lots of prayers to you and wifey. Can't imagine what you guys are even going through right now. Please keep us updated, friend.

I'm not too knowledgable with this type of stuff... Some of the tests from today are in. My brother's wife has Stage 2B breast cancer. She will begin chemo on Friday. She has 18 weeks total with chemo happening every third week. It's going be an exhausting fight for her, but I know she will come out on top.

Thanks again to everyone!

Hi Brent - often when our loved ones have cancer, we try and learn as much as we can to support them. I just wanted to mention that in my experience with the company of many people who have endured one form of cancer or another, including breast cancer - the stages and STATS they offer are really meant for doctors not patients. Just a little something to keep in mind. My daughter-in-law was in stage 4 twice and beat it both times. I'll keep positive thoughts for the family.

Hey, friends! Hope y'all are good! We had the faculty Christmas party and it was a blast. We did something a little different this year before we ate....we each shared our favorite Christmas tradition or our favorite Christmas memory. Good times, good times.

Bambina was there and and another one of our faculty has a little one. We are friends with them and when she saw me, she ran and jumped in my lap and sit on my other leg. Her and Bambina had a conversation in baby talk. Best thing ever.

Gotta go...time to go get Doc some food. Y'all have a good one!

Happy Hump Day and Happy last Wednesday before Christmas Eve.

That's the night I'll be lighting the luminaries on my parents street.

I am very excited about it and the fact that it's supposed to be mild temps, I recall a few bitterly cold "eves" when the cold nearly took the fun out of it.

When my dad was battling cancer nearly 12 years ago, a local photographer and son of a family friend swung by to snap a photo. The next morning, there was a knock on the door and there was Greg on the doorstep with the photograph I am about to share. Such a kind and caring gesture on his part to take time out on Christmas morning from his own family to stop by and share this gift. Speaks well of Greg and the respectful bond he shares with my parents.

Last Christmas Eve he and his wife were among their merry visitors. His younger brothers along with my brothers and I starred in a Christmas commercial for my dad's store when we were little so it was great to catch up. Felt like a long lost relative had stopped by to visit.

I get such a warm and glowy feeling when the luminaries extend up the street and veer off onto side streets. "All is calm, all is bright."

Merry Greetings Pine Dwellers!

The gifts for the grandkids are wrapped up, but not the ones for my family that live in town. I'm feeling closer to ready now, but haven't picked up the gift for my dad yet.

Bring on the fried Christmas twinkies!

That's really neat that you got to share your favorite Christmas memories.

Keeping you all in prayer, friend.

:merry: My movie is coming on - time to bond with Mr. O'Cat.

Wanted to leave y'all with a merry song I wrote a few years back in the heat of the summer.

It’s Christmas! Song By: Auntie Mistletoe (Sung to the tune of Daybreak - Barry Manilow)

I’m talkin’ to the world, it’s time we let the Christmas spirit in
C’mon let the spirit in
I’m talkin’ to the world, everybody’s lost in a cloudy din
Look at the festive mood we’re in
We’ve been chatting ‘bout Christmas every day this year
What’s wrong with other folks, what’s their fear

But it’s Christmas, that’s what I’m talking ‘bout
It can feel like Christmas (every day), there’s no doubt
I said, it’s Christmas every day - ay - ay
Let the spirit in.

There is a Santa, if you wanna believe
I’m not saying that you haveta,
But if you believe, your Christmas will be betta
I said, it’s Christmas and Rudolph is true
You might ignore him, but he sure knows you

Santa flies around the world, delivering toys,
He leaves surprises in stockings for girls and boys
I leave a treat for him year after year
What’s wrong with other folks, what’s their fear

I’m telling’ you world, I love to celebrate Christmas
You get to gather with relatives and friends & family
What more fun could their be
I said, it’s Christmas
If you wanna shout for joy - it’s okay

Yes it’s Christmas, that’s what I’m talking ‘bout
It can feel like Christmas (every day), there’s no doubt
I said, it’s Christmas every day - ay - ay
Let the spirit in.

Let the Christmas spirit shine
In your life everyday
I said, it’s Christmas every day
So let the spirit in, have a bit of cheer.
Let the spirit in every day of the year.
Every day - every day of the year.

That sounds like a great way to spend part of the party.

Aww, glad you were able to have Bambina there and that she got to talk to her friend!!! That sounds so cute!!!

Continuing to pray for all of you my Friend.

Snowflake- We are waiting on you!!! Carl decided that since it's a bit chilly out, he would make up a little something to keep us warm. So I introduce you to Carl's version of an Irish Coffee-
