Snowflake wanted me to let you all know that her Mother in law passed away this morning after her long battle with cancer. Her and Adrian appreciate all of the prayers and kind thoughts everyone has sent her way and ask that you continue to think of them as they cope with this loss.
I am so sorry Snowflake...I am keeping you all in my prayers and thoughts. I know it is such a difficult time. I lost my Mom 2.5 years ago...it is so hard...HUGS...

Looks like both of my Favorite Football teams both won today, and have made it into the play-offs - Ravens and the Packers. However the Ravens got a long row to hoe, in order to possibly get to the next step in the play-offs~

How did your team make out today?

Steelers are playing right now - we'll see how they doing. I'm not watching the game though. The kids are much for watching football at this age.

I'm keeping updated on my phone though!

Snowflake & Adrian, we are very sorry for your loss. Whenever we are confronted by the same, we take a bit of solace in the following quote. We hope it is of some comfort.

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." --- Khalil Gibran, Lebanese-American Poet

Hi everyone! It's nice right now, to sort have have some quiet time that is allowing for me to jump in tonight here.

Whewweee, we had a house full here yeterday. It was a fun filled evening, I had a blast, it was the first time, in a many of years, that we had little ones, running around the house again.
Needless to say, our house does not have that kid zone established any longer (It's all areas, on book shelves and tables that are four feet in height and less, that have nothing on them that kids can touch or break), sooo, the first 5 minutes after they arrived, one of the 3 year olds, got ahold of a candle and when she dropped it, it shattered on the floor.

It was no big deal, I cleaned it up, Lisa's cousins were upset, but I laughed and told them the I thought it was great to have little kids back in the house and not to worry about a thing. Ha-Ha, were still finding things that were moved all over the place.....

Ahhhhh, there is one thing that I really like, and that is all of the left-overs and goodies that I get to enjoy over the next several days. We had so much food left over, it's no way, we are ever going to consume it. We will have to freeze a bunch of it and enjoy during those cold snowy January, Febuary and March months....

How is everyone tonight, are you all getting excited to head back to work tomorrow morning?

Sounds like you had a fun party!!!!!

I'm still looking for stuff my niece's moved around the last time they were here!!! LOL!!!

Good evening, friends~

Thank you for your kind words and prayers.

I spent the day at my in-laws house, and it was a very tough day.
We were blessed to all spend Christmas with her. What an amazing & loving woman she was. I will miss her deeply. Still in shock.
I feel lost right now, and came here for some sense of normalcy.

Thank you all, again.

Oh Snowflake, I am very saddened to hear this. My heart goes out to you and Adrian during this difficult time. Please know that I will be praying for you all. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.
Sending hugs your way ~

I have the same thing when little ones come over, but also created a "kids" shelf, it has toys and books on it just for them. Now they head straight for it when they come to visit.
We are going to be living on left overs for at least a week here.

We actually slept with our windows open on Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. I think that was a first in my lifetime.
I sleep with the window open all year round, some times only a crack but always open, just love the fresh air!

Good Morning MMC !!!
I get to go to work for the next 3 days then have new years day off. I am off by 2pm on new years eve so have lots of time to get ready for the celebrations.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Good Morning. Well, here we are back to the grind, I missed it sooo much, I couldn't wait for the alarm clock to go off at 4:45am; NOT!!!!

The first Monday after Christmas - Yuck, does not get worse than this (in regards to waking up, getting out of bed, packing your lunch, and heading out the door to drive in the morning traffic and then having to face the real world), just right after Christmas week....

Hopefully, it will be a quiet day here at the office.

On a more positive note, it's only a four day work week, this week - Yea!!!! With New Years Day being a holiday and all. That's great, but I do not really celebrate it myself, at all for the most part, other than watch football, or a movie or something, I just look at it now-a-days as just another day...

Here's wishing you all a wonderful Monday today!!!!

Good Morning!!!

Still feeling festive today! I went back to work yesterday for the first time since Christmas and surprisingly felt great! I love my job, that was not the issue, I just usually feel that letdown going back to work and getting back on routine after enjoying Christmas. I also got a belated Christmas gift from a co-worker that kept that Christmas spirit alive. I waited on a customer that is still in the holiday spirit and he told me he is still watching Christmas movies. Yay! There are more people like us! It helped that our local radio station was still playing Christmas tunes on the way to work and back.

On a bummer note - Wayne is now sick with a cold! I finally get over mine and passed it right along to him. I feel he needs to take the day off but if he does they will take away his holiday pay - they make no exceptions. I guess they want him to come in and pass it around. :-( Going to fix him a nice warm breakfast in hopes it will give him the energy he needs.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!

Stacey, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your mother-in-law. My thoughts are with you, and I am sending you and Adrian my unconditional love.

I know that in the event of such loss, it's us who have to cope with emotional pain and emptiness but I believe that the person, although left us on Earth, is now in a better and brighter place.

Sending you and Adrian my greatest support.
