I'm sad that the holidays are over but I'm looking forward to counting down to Christmas 2015 with all of you. I'm really looking forward to a fresh new year because I have goals that are all about taking better care of myself.

Hello friends! Hubby went back to work today and we are operating somewhat "normally" after many days of celebrations. We are going to our neighbors for a post-Hanukah celebration and I am looking forward to learning to play dreidel!!

I have begun my Christmas 2015 hunt. I look at the time from now until July (when the celebration begins!) as my clearance scouring time and take joy in spotting Christmas (albeit leftovers!) hidden in stores, and the deep discounts are an added bonus! So don't despair over the day being over.. Take it as a challenge to spot Christmas somewhere everyday!!

Morning all

Good Morning, Festive!!!!

Good Morning MMC !!!
I get to go to work for the next 3 days then have new years day off. I am off by 2pm on new years eve so have lots of time to get ready for the celebrations.

Good Morning. Well, here we are back to the grind, I missed it sooo much, I couldn't wait for the alarm clock to go off at 4:45am; NOT!!!!

The first Monday after Christmas - Yuck, does not get worse than this (in regards to waking up, getting out of bed, packing your lunch, and heading out the door to drive in the morning traffic and then having to face the real world), just right after Christmas week....

Hopefully, it will be a quiet day here at the office.

On a more positive note, it's only a four day work week, this week - Yea!!!! With New Years Day being a holiday and all. That's great, but I do not really celebrate it myself, at all for the most part, other than watch football, or a movie or something, I just look at it now-a-days as just another day...

Good Morning!!!

Still feeling festive today! I went back to work yesterday for the first time since Christmas and surprisingly felt great! I love my job, that was not the issue, I just usually feel that letdown going back to work and getting back on routine after enjoying Christmas. I also got a belated Christmas gift from a co-worker that kept that Christmas spirit alive. I waited on a customer that is still in the holiday spirit and he told me he is still watching Christmas movies. Yay! There are more people like us! It helped that our local radio station was still playing Christmas tunes on the way to work and back.

On a bummer note - Wayne is now sick with a cold! I finally get over mine and passed it right along to him. I feel he needs to take the day off but if he does they will take away his holiday pay - they make no exceptions. I guess they want him to come in and pass it around. :-( Going to fix him a nice warm breakfast in hopes it will give him the energy he needs.

Good morning!
I will be heading out soon, my youngest has a dentist appointment this morning. Something is bothering her, she's not sure what it is. I hope it's not her wisdom teeth coming in, we'll see what they say. Not too much else planned. I think I'm going to work on some thank you cards today. I received so many beautiful gifts from the little ones at the preschool. It was so kind of their families to be so generous. Other than that I will be cleaning. The main part of my house is in order but the girls rooms are a disaster area. If any of them are around today I will help them to straighten up. I would have had their rooms finished by now but God forbid I touch their stuff when they're not here!
That's about it for me. I'll pop back in later today. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Wow, I could have written this, except for changing the alarm time! I had last week off and am missing the leisure too. My office is supposed to close early on Wednesday, but we'll see ... usually my department is the last to get out.

We celebrate New Year's Eve with a movie marathon, then run upstairs to see the ball drop in Times Square. New Year's Day is just a day off at home, because we're not into football.

its the same here, you must work your scheduled day before and after a holiday if you want your holiday pay.

Good morning!
