Yes, we draw near -- oh so near -- to the termination of another month, another year, another Christmas Season......and this thread.
Sad though it may be, it paves the way for the joy and excitement that accompanies the fresh release of a brand new Countdown.


Great trip to see our cousins in Jasper, AL.
The weather was damp and drizzly but no hard rain and most of the visit was spent inside anyway.


It's sure cold here (26 degrees) and damp as well, but with the promise of nicer weather just ahead.


Don't forget to come to the New Year's Eve party at the 'Pines this evening. You KNOW it will be memorable, since this sort of occasion is right up Carl's alley!
I even hear there will be a spectacular private fireworks display after nightfall, with one shot in the shape of a......
(Well, I won't spoil it.)


Anyway, it's good to be back in the saddle here again and to wish everyone a Wonderful Wednesday.
See you this evening as we countdown to the thread shutdown and the launch of Christmas Season 2015!

I think the bond that we have with these dogs is amazing.

We were invited to go out to some fancy schmancy restaurant later this evening with my BIL & SIL. They asked us to go last year too so it looks like this may become a new tradition. I'd rather stay in and sit by the fire, lol. I'm sure I'll be back home before midnight though so I'll still get to watch the ball drop. And I'll definitely pop back in here!!!

Happy New Years Eve, MMC!!!!!! It's beginning to fill a lot like winter here in central Indy where the cold air has once again arrived. It's 11 degree's right now and we will only reach 24 this evening. That's about 10 degree's below normal for us. Brrrr!!!! I don't have much planned for today. I have a couple more loads of laundry to do and then I will probably run to the store to get some snacks for tonight. I'm thinking cheese sticks, potato skins, and little smokies sound good. I'll try to be here to see this thread out and welcome in the new countdown thread. I can almost smell that new thread smell already. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good evening/early morning, and Merry Christmas!

Just got back a short time ago from a late showing of "Dumb & Dumber To," I enjoyed it, pretty funny. Long day out and about, my wife got me my birthday present a week early, another Possible Dreams Santa!!! Woooohoooo! I really need some more shelving. cheesy
My order of the Hallmark ornament of Nifty Fifties ornament came in today, so it went right onto the tree. That is the only Hallmark ornament I bought this year, I wanted quite a few, but that one was tops on my list. (I will head to a Hallmark store in West Springfield, MA in the spring where I picked up a bunch at 90% off last year)

Just popping in to say hi at this late hour, 22 hours 41 minutes left in 2014.

Not sure how much time I can be here as I will be spending the evening with my family playing games and having fun. But I will try to get onto the new countdown thread as soon as possible.
With this cold we decided to spare our friends and not go out or have anyone over so it will be more quiet than usual.

I was thinking of you and Made when I was at Jo-Ann Fabrics last weekend for some yarn. They were selling most Christmas items for 75% off, and they had a couple of beautiful Santas about two or two and a half feet tall. Expensive, but not so bad at 75% off! I almost bought one, but I don't really have space for him for either display or storage. But I keep thinking about him! If I get out of work early today I may go there to see if the sale is still running. I'm afraid they may have packed all the Christmas items away by now.

Good morning, Good day and well wishes! I hope everyone has a safe and sober New Years.

No big plans for me, Lisa and I are just going to spend a nice quiet evening tonight together at home, as far as I know, it's just going to be her and I there tonight. We're going to have some shrimp (cooked 3 different ways), smoked pepper salmon, cheese, sausages and a gambit of other treats for us tonight. I even bought some sparkling NA cran-apple and grape drink, from the grocery store. It fizzes like Champagne, but taste like fruit juice~

It will be a test for us both to see just how long we will be able to stay awake tonight with getting up before 5am every morning, it gets harder and harder as the week progresses, to keep my eyes open past 9:30/ 10:00 at night....:lol:

I had a nice surprise this morning. I found an unopened Christmas CD that I forgot I had---choirs and orchestras. I listened to it on the way to work and felt like I was in my own personal Christmas bubble. So good!

I'll probably be in and out during the day, but anyway---have a safe and joyous New Year's Eve, and I hope everyone has a great 2015!
