Thanks for asking! She feels fine, but there's still a lingering bladder issue. The vet thinks it'll improve with time and the prescription food. It hasn't slowed her down, though. Every time I get in my truck, she's there, too LOL.

Glad to hear that she's feeling pretty good!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a busy long weekend! I don't even remember the last thing I reported, so here's the whole weekend:

• Saturday, Jim and I went to see The Avengers (great movie!). Then we went to a salvage yard to look for parts for the Camaro. Specifically, brackets for the A/C and power steering pump. I think we found some that will work.
• Sunday afternoon, my family took mom shopping at the new Tanger Outlet Mall. They shopped for clothes ALL. AFTERNOON. LONG. But, it was supposed to be a belated Mother's Day for mom & Nancy, so we went out to eat, too, and they had a blast.
• Monday, Nancy & Elizabeth cleaned house, Jacob went to work at Bernie's, and I worked in the yard all day. Last night, we had a crab boil at Bernie & Hilda's. Pretty good!

I was happy to come to work so I can get some rest!

Good morning MMC!! I'm not sure that I will have much time to get caught up today, but I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!



We ended up with some pretty awesome weather all weekend. We had a little rain yesterday morning. We got the pontoon in the water (YAY!) & we were able to take it to the wedding. Sunday we got a 12 mile bike ride in (went to visit friends who were camping at the lake) & we went on a boat ride with the neighbors too! Yesterday we sat outside most of the day. Jim got the lawn mowed & did some outside work at home. I rode my bike to the cemetery to make sure Dads flowers didn't blow away. They were there safe & sound & he had a flag by his grave too. Nice! Hard to believe the long weekend is all over!

Hey! Everything's great at the coast.
The cottage is all ready for our first renters, arriving June 7.
Normally, we get 10 rental weeks each year, but this year 12 have signed up so far!



OK. The count.
(And once again, I am surprised at what can happen when one is away!)

Days to the Season: 171
Days to Christmas Day: 213

And even more amazingly, we are now UNDER two weeks away from the 200-day Christmas Day Window Opening, heralding the start of a double-100's count sequence.
(Holy Holly, Guys!)

A sleigh-load of THANKS to "Team Countdown".
Due to the attention of the "Dream Team" (Made, Snowflake and Minta) the count proceeded without a hitch.
(What a fine and dedicated group we have here!)


Great weather for the trip without a drop of rain and with moderate temps.
(This was fortunate, because most of what we had to do at the cottage was outside work.)
Today might see a little rain back here in Raleigh but the temps should remain nice.
We are at 70 to start things off here this morning.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a hot stormy day here with a high in the mid 80's and unbearable humidity. It's already quite tropical like this morning. I was quite exhausted last night so I slept in a bit this morning. I'm up and moving now though and have mom ready for the day. We have lots of phone calls to make this morning and appointments to make. She has to follow up with every doctor she has ever saw I think and let them all know that she has went off of her blood thinner so she is at an extremely high risk of having another major stroke. So I guess we better get started. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Hope they get something figured out for your Mom. That's scary! Good luck with all your calls & appointments. Stay safe & cool & have a good day!

I saw it was on earlier today, I got yelled at for having a Christmas movie on in May. I told her if she wasn't home, I would've been all over it. cheesy

Sundance is having a "Vacation" Marathon weekend, everyday this weekend.

YES!!!! I got there very same treatment....

I heard, come on....It's not even Christmas in July and they have Christmas movies on TV....I am not in the mood for that....:sad:

I cried myself to sleep that night....:lol:
