Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!
Just took a couple of cold pills, hoping they kick in soon. I have a couple of errands to run this morning. I plan on taking it easy this afternoon, hopefully nothing will come up and I'll be able to rest. Didn't sleep well again thanks to the cats and dogs. Maggie was coughing off and on and Molly wanted to go out twice. Then Bentley knocked my alarm clock off of my night table and scared me. And Sophia was sleeping across my neck again. That was cute when she was a few weeks old but she's growing like a weed and is over five pounds now. I wake up and feel like I'm being strangled, lol. I'm ready to lock them all out of my room at night. But I would never do that. Anyway, hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Guess what ????
Its not snowing and the temps are in the single digits for the first time in over a week !!!! It is only -8c (17f), downright warm!

Your having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave...

I forgot to tell y'all...Friday evening we ate at our local Chinese restaurant and they were still playing Christmas music! I'm not sure why but I enjoyed it.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a nasty day here. It's a balmy 28 degree's right now and we should warm up to the freezing mark this afternoon. Then it's going to get foggy, and the freezing rain is going to move in. They officially issued an ice storm warning this morning so I guess there's no chance of it missing us. The temp isn't going to get above freezing again until next weekend, so it's going to be a nasty week here. I need to run to the store to get more salt and to pick up mom's meds since I don't plan on going anywhere for a few days once the ice hits. I have a feeling the counselor will cancel on my sister if it's going to be as bad as they are saying so I won't have to worry about that. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

At my company, about a year before I started there, one of their employees, apparently slipped on the ice one morning, getting ready to come into the office, and he passed away like three days later, due to the injuries he suffered to his brain....

That stuff, it's better to just stay inside, until the stuff melts then try to go outside and scape it off your car or try to shovel it or something...

I got to worry about my grandfather, he's a hard head and never listens to me. He insists on throwing salt out on it or cleaning off his car just in case he needs to head out. I've talked to him about not going outside in that stuff until I was blue in the face, but it does no good. He just does it when I leave....What can you do????

We may leave the snowman out there for a while longer. Spent the day at the mall yesterday with DH and the kids so the kids could use their gift cards they got for Christmas. This past year my daughter got hooked on The Nightmare Before Christmas and while we were walking around the mall she noticed several Nightmare before Christmas items in the windows of a store. DH and I will have a take a trip back there with out the kids and get a jump start on some Christmas Shopping for her I also noticed Hallmark has a 75% off mark down sign in their window. There is another Hallmark store that is a little out of the beaten path near work so I am going to stop by there on my lunch break tomorrow to see what kind of goodies I can get for next Christmas.

Cold and cloudy today. I'm not taking down my outdoor tree lights today after all. A friend of ours is coming over today, so we're leaving them up so he can see them. My indoor decorations are down, but I took a video of our Christmas tree because he wanted to see it. I also brought my ceramic Santa back up and put him on a side table for a little atmosphere. We'll meet our friend at a restaurant for lunch and then come back here to get caught up and watch some movies on the big screen. Just taking a break from straightening up the house to get caught up with you all.

Good morning. It's quiet at the moment, Lisa is at work, Zach has drill this morning at the Guard and Vicki is still asleep upstairs. I'm just sitting here on the couch, sipping on my coffee in front of the fireplace and watching a great funny but yet (I think) classic western - "Support your local gunfighter" with James Garner, Jack Elam and Harry Morgan.

I got some thick sliced bacon defrosting at the moment, getting ready to put it in the pan, to have with eggs and cheese on biscuits.
