Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Morning, friends~

Happy Sunday & Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful Dads!

Hope you all have a blessed day with your loved ones!

Happy Father's Day. ..hope you all have a great day. It is raining here now but I think it is supposed to clear up in the afternoon so we may be able to get in a little cookout!

Good Morning.

Still the weekend, with another day to go until the next work week begins.
But we must press on. No rest for the weary when it comes to the count.
(We can't let that get away from us!)

As such:
Days to the Season: 145
Days to Christmas Day: 187

Only 5 days remain now until we find ourselves half way (that's HALF way) back to Christmas.
(Will the second half go as fast as the first? I think you know the answer to that question.)


Another storm cooled things off a bit yesterday evening, but we remain fully entrenched in a H&H rut with no relief in sight.
This AM has begun at at 78 degrees here in our zone of the MMC Nation.

Happy Fathers Day to all of us Dads!

Well, I was in the dog house for about an hour last night (I deserved it, so I took the verbal thrashing). I turned the water back on and also the hot water about an hour after the Mrs got home. She had hot water, she was happy....
Me, I slept like I was Rip Van Winkle last night, I got a lot done and it was all successful; I'm happy with my work.

Lisa is making me a ginormas breakfast this morning, the coffee was served to me this morning in a Captain America mug. The kids want to celebrate Fathers Day again, sort of in a day or two because both of them had to be at work this morning to open and they will not be home till tonight. Two Fathers Days, Oh I wont mind that.....

Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day to all!

It's gray and rainy here, but we didn't have any particular plans, so that's all right. I have to go out later to get a couple of birthday cards, but I'm in no hurry.

Thank you again for all the prayers for Gloria. We heard in an email from her that she is still in a wheelchair for the time being, and they are predicting about a month more of rehab to get her on her feet again. She says the hospital is a beautiful place, but she doesn't like being among "all the old people." God bless her, she's 89 and doesn't count herself as one of the old people! That made me smile and begin to feel that she may come out of this all right. She IS young at heart---she is usually more knowledgable about current TV shows and movies than we are!

Gosh, I feel lazy today. I may indulge that for a little while before I have to go out.

Happy Father's Day, my Christmas friends!

It's been a scorcher of a weekend, hitting a 100°F every day. I opened Bernie's store yesterday morning so he could go fishing at the coast. I think I got the better end of the deal LOL. I don't think I'd want to be sitting in a boat on the ocean in this heat!

I went by Jim's shop yesterday afternoon to work on the Camaro. After a couple hours of sweat & gnats, I went home, took a shower and watched Netflix for the rest of the day. Whew!

We just got home from church, changing clothes. Mom has made spaghetti for lunch for me, and I can't wait! She make the best spaghetti EVER!

That is some fantastic news about Gloria! God Bless her for her youthful look at life....

Ahhhh, go ahead, make a cup and tea, sit back, prop your feet up and take the day off; you deserve it....

Shewww, 100 degrees all week, I would be like groundhog, find some cool spot below ground (basement) and stay there.... Those dawg-gone gnats, getting all up in your face, eyes...sometime they can be as bad as the mosquitoes this time of year....

That's another reason why I like the Fall so much, cooler temperatures and no bugs bothering you when you go outside....
