Christmas Countdown - 2015

Hey everyone! Hope y'all are great. Been a few days since I've been able to check in, but for good reason. I've got a 20 month old who just refuses to be put down. We have battled and battled all week. Can't believe I'm saying I've battled a 20 month old, but that' what is has been. Anybody got any suggestions? Things went so well, then all of the sudden she doesn't want to go to sleep.

My anniversary is coming up next week and I'm trying to find something special to come up with. At this point, I think two hours away from everyone else would be great for us, but that isn't likely. We will probably stay home and just hang out...which I am also fine with.

I'm about to go. Got some other things to read...

Can anyone point me in the direction of QVC Christmas schedule for this month?

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a good and restful night last night. I went to bed early (a theme this week!) and slept very well. My new workout routine has been making me feel great but also tired!

I'm on call this weekend and have about an hour's worth of work to do each day, but I'm looking forward to the time off around then! Is it just me, or is the summer FAR busier than the fall? Maybe it's my job, but I really feel like things are so much busier this time of year than when the fall comes around. At least there's a routine then and I'm not traveling as much!

I'm off to a 3 cups of coffee and 2 glazed doughnuts this morning. Yes, the sugar and caffeine is starting to take affect, Oh how I dread the crash later on this afternoon. By then, it will be time for more coffee...

Hello, yes it is I, I have been here, but yet, not here. As you know busy, busy, busy is like my middle name and for the past month, it has been even more intense than usual. We are slammed at work, been putting in steady overtime and yet still not enough hours to get all of this done in a normal work week. It's a good thing and a bad thing. Good to have the work, bad not to have a life....

But, in my field of work (Engineering), it's always the roller coaster effect as I call it, where we are slammed on month and then a steady 40 hours the next....Last week I did over 80 hours and the architect completely redesigned the entire job this past weekend, and we have to start all over again...sigh~
And even with all of that work, I still managed to finish all my work in my basement at home, cut the lawn, etc... and next week my FIL will tie all the electric that I ran into the panels. It's great to have a FIL that is a Master Electrician...

Looking forward to the weekend. I'm taking off and just piddle around a bit. On a sad note, one of my Christmas trees got a burial in the dumpster here at work, because I discovered it crushed from something large and heavy, falling on it at home...Oh well...it lived a good life in a happy home...

Well, back to work....

Good morning!
Happy Friday!
Today is my middle daughter's 20th birthday. Time really needs to slow down, it's freaking me out!
Typical day of errands and chores. I'm working on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I have to figure out what butcher I'm going to since mine is closed due to the fire. I really hope the town finishes paving my street soon. I wanted to food shop tomorrow but I refuse to unload a car full of groceries when I'm parked around the corner. I hate unloading the car when it's parked in my driveway! I guess I'll have to make small shopping trips until they're finished.
We will celebrate my daughter's birthday later this evening.
That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

The arrival of our next Milestone marker, the 2/3 point to Christmas Season 2015 looms just FOUR
days away -- scarcely more than HALF A WEEK.
(So soon to a *** MILESTONE DAY ***!)


Dry yesterday, but boy was it humid! The local weather channel said we were within 2 degrees
of the highest dew point ever recorded in our area, and it sure felt like it! The high was over 90 as well.
Today is predicted to be a bit cooler. (I certainly hope so!)
We are at 78 degrees here, currently.

I'm ready to get some more work done on the Camaro, but it's so hot in Jim's shop! LOL He works in the there all day, and I can't bring myself to spend a couple hours there.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday! Guess what? It's raining! Again! Will it ever stop?? I shouldn't complain ~ many years we are begging for rain, but this is ridiculous!

Same 'ol stuff going on at work today. I get out of here at noon & then I have to bring Gracie's P sample to the vet! Fun fun! Hopefully we'll get good results from that. Fingers crossed but I'm not overly hopeful. She just doesn't seem quite right! Almost seems like she could have some allergies going on, so hopefully that's what it is & not something to do with her kidneys.

We're planning to head to the soggy lake this weekend. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day! xx No major plans but maybe we'll do a bike &/or boat ride. My friend invited me to go along to a winery with a group of girls, but we'll see. It would be relaly fun, but if it's beautiful out, I'll probably just hang at the lake.
