Good morning MMC! Happy hump/Pines/WednesDAY! It's a scorcher today! I guess I'm glad to be in the office, in the AC....with my jacket on. Lol!
I pulled weeds in the garden last night. WOW was it hot. I pulled an over-stuffed wheelbarrow full & that was just from the onion patch. It was way too hot, so I went home for a few hours hoping it would cool off. I went back last night - the sun wasn't beating down anymore, but I was still over heating. My sister met me there & we pulled another over-stuffed wheelbarrow full...and it barely looks like we touched the weeds. All that darn rain - we couldn't keep up. What a mess! I may go back after work & pull a few more tonight. MAYBE My hands are so stained.

I made a new recipe for supper last night - chicken noodle casserole - and then my hubby calls & says he doesn't want anything hot for supper! So I decided to stick it in the fridge & bake it tonight. If he doesn't want anything hot again tonight, I'll bring it to Mom! (if it's any good)

Would you believe we have two vintage M-G-M lobby posters hanging over my piano? One is William Powell and the other is Myrna Loy. Mr. found 'em at a yard sale before we met. I don't have a photo handy to show you, darn it. Some Christmastime I'm going to buy some garlands to decorate the frames with.

I love it! I'm a huge fan of them both!

Hey Ryan! Gracie seems to do be doing super! She's her "normal" crazy self! But she's on 4 medicines, so it may be the meds making her feel good. She goes in for another blood test Aug 11th. Praying things are good! xx She says Happy Birthday to you!!

forgot to tell you of my great yard sale find on the weekend, I bought books 1 to 9 of "The Spirit Of Christmas" printed from 1987 to 1995.. Creative holiday ideas put out by Leisure Arts. All hard cover.
Also a hard cover copy of "Santa Remembered" 1989, which is a book full of old pictures of Santa that have cross stitch patterns for each one, I plan to make a couple of those.
The last is "Treasury of Christmas, Crafts and Foods " by better homes and gardens1980, also hard cover. Some great looking crafts and yummy recipes in this one.
I got the whole box full for only $5 !
Lots of great reading for awhile here.

The girls here in our office wear jackets and have their heaters on. All I have to say is, "walk through the plant a couple time, and you'll want to put the heaters back in the closet." LOL

And I gave up on my garden after we got back from vacation. It's just too much work now. The weeds have won!

Good Morning MMC !

going to be a scorcher again today, after waiting so long for summer it is finally here. I was going to get some icecream from the truck, but not going to happen today...

Got bread rising on the counter, supper in the slow cooker. Have a meeting at 1pm. This evening going to look at a tent that someone has for sale on Kijiji, if it is good I will be buying it so I can join the family camping this weekend.

The girls here in our office wear jackets and have their heaters on. All I have to say is, "walk through the plant a couple time, and you'll want to put the heaters back in the closet." LOL

And I gave up on my garden after we got back from vacation. It's just too much work now. The weeds have won!

Don't overdo it!

LOL! I do walk out in the shop & say "ahhhh" this feels SO good!! But it doesn't take long for me to get rid of the jacket out there.
You are the smart one giving up on the garden!! Thankfully we have a tarp down where the tomatoes & peppers are, so no weeds there. Just the flower, onion, & corn patch is left & the rest will be able to mow down soon! xx
