I found a butcher that I like, just have to drive a bit further. I can't wait until mine reopens. I'm hoping it won't be too long. My husband is doing work in the restaurant where the fire started, they're going to start soon.

What a sweet love story!! I totally understand what you mean - our loved ones do better for people outside of the family when it comes to exercise, physical therapy, etc. We went through that with my Dad. A therapist would come in & he would do exactly what they told him too. We would try to get him to do the same thing & he would say "I can't do that!!!!" Prayers for both your parents & you too!

We had a friendly butcher once who thought so highly of us that he sold the turkey we had on hold to a different family and gave us a smaller bird for Christmas dinner - they closed when he retired. We didn't complain, but needed the larger turkey so we wound up baking a ham to serve as well. A good butcher makes all the difference. HaHa.

Well, I finally got the freezer defrosted and the kitchen and bathroom floors done while the cable company was messing up my airwaves. My husband says the only time I choose to do housework is when the internet is down. HaHa. There's probably some truth in that statement.
I think O'Malley the cat was a hamster in a former life. Whenever I'm cleaning, he starts faking a cough and behaving oddly because I also have to rearrange the furniture and sweep and vacuum the carpet and area rugs (to get rid of his fur and dander). He panics a bit and then when I'm finished and everything is back in place, he sprawls out and let's out a big sigh, says, "maaa" like he's glad I'm finished and then goes and fetches a bit of food from his dish.
Now he's napping on the sofa and I'm about to have a wee nap myself (not on the sofa).
My husband and I have plans for later so I'll catch up with y'all tomorrow. Stay Jolly!

finally have a moment to check in here. My days off are busier than when I go into work !
Baking a batch of sourdough bread as well as a cake...a big cake. 3 layers tall, 2 chocolate and 1 white. It will be decorated for a mine craft fan.
Also have some cleaning to do around here but not sure how much of that I will get done.
My bread machine bit the dust this morning. I use it mostly just for kneading the dough, but use it a lot. My wonderful daughter promptly bought me a new one that just happened to be on sale for half price.(early birthday gift) It is the same machine as I had so I do not have to learn how to use it first.
LittleCS is taking me to see The Sound of Music at the Stratford festival for my birthday next month, I am excited as I have been wanting to see it.
and...only 6 days till I leave for Vermont !!!
