We're at mid-August, and it appears that everyone is getting into the Fall/Halloween spirit! I snapped these photos yesterday at Homesense:

I'm sure all of you have been seeing signs of the next "season" popping up everywhere! I am enjoying it. For now, I will use this to contain my excitement until the debut of something magical.

Kim and I are heading to Cornwall for the day/night. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Merry Friday!!

Hey guys , how are you all doing?? I hope everyone is having a lovely summer so far.
Ours is pretty glum but nothing new there. We had a couple weeks back in June where the temps got to the upper 20sC. We even had our hottest day at 30C!! That was an amazing week! It was the same week mum got here actually, it's like she brought the sun with her

Other than that we having a good summer especially with Mum here.

Mr Festive last day today before 2 wk vacation. We are all looking forward to the next couple weeks. The kids will be back to school after that and mum will also be leaving then. It will be a sudden change after the last few weeks especially with my youngest starting nursery around that time too!!!!!

Ok must dash but wanted to pop by and say hi and that I miss you all. Prayers and thoughts are with you all. Look after yourselves.

So much on our plate this morning.

And ah, yes! 'Tis true, 'tis true!
As of today.
As of this very day.
We are THREE QUARTERS OF THE WAY BACK to our much loved and coveted CHRISTMAS SEASON!
(I can almost see the poinsettia on our dining room table.)


Nice weather?
We have it here in spades.
Would be great if it could continue but the H&H are scheduled to return by the start of next week.
Today has begun at a nice, pleasant 70 degrees here in our sector of MMC Land.

Happy Milestone Day!
We had a lot of fun at the concert last night, I'm so glad I went. The band sounded amazing and Dave is as crazy as ever. I felt bad leaving Maggie but my girls were home with her so I was able to relax a bit. Maggie has her appointment with the specialist later this morning, I can't wait to talk to him about her chronic cough. Not too much going on otherwise. I'll just be working on a few chores around the house. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a very Happy Friday!

I was thinking of you guys yesterday as well - wondering what you found out...lots of prayers! How is Maggie feeling?

Good morning, MMCers! Nothing much on tap for today, and that's the way I like it for Saturdays! Enjoying a wonderful day of errands and home life with my sweet husband. I'll check in later today! Wish we had QVC. When is the next QVC Christmas event?

Hey guys. This update comes all the way from EPCOT. We had a relaxing Friday that began with breakfast at the Polynesian, then an afternoon in the pool, where Lizzy had a blast with all the kids at the pool party. London and i just tried from getting our hair wet, we're so lame!!!
We got all fancied up and ready for our night at the Irish pub when as we were on the Disney
bus the heavens opened up and everyone huddled under the cover bus stop for almost 15 mins till the rain slacked off enough to make a mad dash to restaurant. The entertainment was great. They had step dancers and live music. The food was so-so. Muscles were good and so was dessert. My entree was bland. My friend who has recently been to Ireland said that most of their food is bland. But the pub we frequent back home is delish.

Today we are interested in a few attractions in future world before heading to our fave part of EPCOT, World Showcase. We're having dinner in Italy.

Just wanted to update everyone, Maggie's appointment went pretty well. The specialist doesn't think we need to do any further testing for the collapsing trachea at this time. We're going to increase her medicine and that will hopefully make her more comfortable. I just have to figure out how I'm going to get her to take these pills!

Glad to hear you received good news and comfort yesterday. Continued prayers and (((hugs))) for you guys.

Greetings from beautiful Vermont !!
we arrived at 11 pm last night after getting lost in Montreal where all the signs are in French ! The boarder guard has beating on my bumpers, a little harder than he needed to but of course I could not say anything about it. Other than that the trip went well.
We are all tired now, but did go out for some shopping and lunch today.
Sitting out on the deck right now enjoying the view and just relaxing.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It looks like I landed in the middle of a Valerie-fest, so I'll be brief. LOL

Jacob is a senior! We had the Senior Breakfast / prayer meeting this morning with them, then they did the ceremonial walk across the school road to the front door, releasing balloons. I bet the City of Bellville will have to clean that up LOL.

Then we decorated their cars in the parking lot while they were in class. Lots of fun!

It was such a hard day at work---working on the Christmas music turned things around to end the day on a positive note. Today's another hard day, and I may be working through the weekend. Sunday at least is spoken for, and there's a meeting going on now that may take away Saturday as well. No rest for the weary!
