Just had my excitement for the day. 4 fire trucks, 2 ambulances, 2 fire captains, 2 suv's with extra EMT's, 3 policemen all from different agency's, and every person who works for my apartment complex just converged here to rescue a little old lady who apparently tried to kill herself in the woods at the end of the street. Luckily, she was sitting up on the stretcher when they wheeled her out so it doesn't look like she got very far along with it.

That is so sad! Glad she is okay now!

Just stopping in for a quick hello! It was a very busy weekend for me. Saturday morning, Kim and I went to see her nephews play football, then did a bunch of shopping. Sunday, I was busy outside subbing for a friend's Frisbee team. It was nice to get on the field again. Today, I am quite sore.

Getting back to work at Passport today wasn't too enjoyable. Hopefully the week goes by fast... Labour Day cannot come fast enough! Schools open again next Tuesday. Unfortunately, I am still without a regular contract, so it looks as if I will be substituting for now. At least I can work at Passport if I don't have any teaching jobs until the end of October.

Well, I hope you all started your week on the right foot. The 'ber months should bring plenty for all of us here. I am sure you're all just as excited as me to flip that calendar tomorrow morning! Have a great night, everyone!

However, they are projecting a hot September. What's the deal? The last two weeks of August were nice and cool, now the hit is supposed to hit around 95 degrees again.....crap! Oh well, we will survive.

Last night Gracie allowed me to share my blanket with her...


If her face looks a little greasy it's b/c the little stinker found the grease pan under the grill & she did NOT want to let it alone!!!
She gets groomed tomorrow. And her hair is finally the length I like them...but she is TOO HOT!

Good morning, friends! Hope you're having a great Monday so far! I've been busy! I've been baking - trying to use up the last of my zucchini from our garden. I've made a few loaves of zucchini bread and some cookies. I'm also going to decorate for fall today too, since I'm going to be busy in the coming days. DH wants chicken pot pie for dinner, so I plan on making that tonight. I do have a massage scheduled for this afternoon, so I'm really looking forward to that!

Pleasant evening all. Had a nice surprise in the mailbox today, I got an unexpected Christmas catalog from LTD Commodities, can't wait to look thru it later on this evening. It's a hot, humid, stagnant temperatures outside all day today; about 90 degrees. I'm inside in the ac for the rest of the evening; working from home. Have a feeling I will be on the computer for at least another 5-6 more hours till I knock off for the night.

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
I'm heading out soon to run a few errands, back home afterward to work on a few chores around the house. I think I'm going to take a ride back to HomeGoods today to pick up some Halloween decorations, I saw so many that I liked when I was there a couple of days ago. Hubby and I went out looking at Autumn, Halloween and Christmas goodies over the weekend. While looking at Christmas stuff and thoroughly enjoying it we could hear the grumbles from customers as they walked past the aisles. "OH my gosh, Christmas already"!!! We should have turned to them and said, "MuHahahahaha, so evil, isn't it"?!!! We didn't care, we loved it!!! I honestly have no issues with those who don't care for Christmas stuff but no one is forcing them to walk down any of those aisle. My advice to them is, just keep walking!!! Problem solved! There are sections of stores I don't care for. I don't complain, I just don't shop in them!

It's the funniest when you hear them complaining about the Christmas stuff and then they end up buying some. It's like they justify it by complaining about it, but it's here so I'll buy it.
