In honour of our special countdown, here's a look at where I want to go this year. It's a bit of a drive, but I have an uncle that lives nearby who I could visit on the way back. I've wanted to go here for years and I went when I was little, but that was in the summer time. It's in Upper Canada Village.

Long day and still chugging along at a blurr....Still at the office, been here since 6:30 this morning. Well, we are more than half-way thru the month of September already and it is just zipping right on by; time that is... Yes indeed, two more weeks and we will be into October. By then all of the Halloween stuff will be gone out of the store and all the Christmas stuff will be on the shelves....
Well, at least I get a 3-day weekend coming up, so I'm stoked about that...working weekend around the house....That's me, all work and no play!

Crazy how fast time is going!! Enjoy your 3 day weekend!!!

Merry Thursday everybody! Where has this week gone??
Busy working today at home. However Isaac has picked up a cold so won't be in nursery school today. It's a shame he has to miss a day, he has been enjoying it there so much and goes in each day with such enthusiasm, So not sure how much I will get done.

Good morning, MMC, and happy double digits!

What a wonderful way to start the day. It's going to be another busy one, but I'm off tomorrow for a conference, and I'm having dinner with good friends tonight, so I'll think of that while I'm getting things done. This has been my busiest week at work with both jobs in terms of actual work needing to be done, so I will have earned tomorrow and the weekend for sure. Whew.

GM...I had computer issues all day yesterday but I am back on track today. Today I have to take my Andre to the vet. Over the winter he had some issues that he was in pain when he turned his neck to the left. They thought he may have a slipped disc in his neck. He was on muscle relaxers and anti inflammatories for 2 weeks and he was back to normal. But I noticed it seems as if it has flared up again. He yelped a couple of times yesterday. So I am taking him today at 2:30. The good thing is that he is still eating and acting pretty his usual self.

Prayers for Andre!! I hope there is a quick easy fix for him!!! Have a good day snowflakemom!

I know what you mean. Our NHS only offer Flu shots to over 65s here but I am wondering if I should get one privately. I have never had one before though! Prayers that we all stay healthy through our favourite time of year.

I'm in the U.S., and Mr. and I have both been getting the flu shot for years and years---and neither one of us has had the flu. When I remember how I felt last time I did have the flu, I'd much rather have the shot! Over here, most drugstores offer them at the pharmacy (for any age) for a fee. Even some workplaces offer them.

I worked with the IT guy all day yesterday, so I wasn't on here much. The kids went to youth at church last night, and I watched TV till I fell asleep. It might have been a boring evening, but I enjoy those once in a while.

Tomorrow morning I have a consultation with the doctor who is going to perform the "procedure" that we who hit 50 have to endure. Said procedure is scheduled for next Wednesday, so UGH. LOL
