Home from the hospital. Mom was doing pretty good when I left. Still really weak and face drooping some. Was mad that they wouldn't let her eat or drink anything when she got up to her room when she had been drinking down in the ER. Finally got some ice chips when I left. Hopefully by breakfast they lift that restriction.

I hope your Mom had a good night & she's doing better this morning. Poor lady!

Hope everyone is have a pleasant evening. Lisa and I took a road trip tonight and we stopped at a local feed store and got some food and chew toys for the rabbits. And then we stopped at a Joann fabrics and crafts store, Lisa wanted to look for some fake flowers and while I was there, I started browsing the 90% off isle for all the Christmas stuff that they had marked down. I picked up some really good stuff, bows, self adhesive tags, ribbon and such...

You know while I was there, and this may sound like I live in a closet or something, but I was totally blown away by all the craft stuff they had there. You would not believe in just how many different colors of Glitter alone they have....I mean, that stuff must come in 50 different colors now!
I was also amazed by this, did you know, you can buy crayons in packs of over a 100+ now!!!! I was serious thinking about buying some, just to see what they looked like.

Ohhhhh, I did find this little bit of information out from the sales clerk, that there is a Hobby Lobby, in Hanover Pennsylvania. That like 35 minutes from where I live! I know where I'm heading to next......

I just saw that they issued a Winter Weather Advisory for my area for snow. They are presently saying 2-4 inches starting around 6 am tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to try to get a jump on it and get out of the house early again tomorrow morning.

I put a 40lb bag of salt all over the driveway yesterday, so hopefully, that will prevent the snow from sticking to it, once it starts falling.

I can barely recognize parts of my home county in recent years, so Hanover may be an entirely different place now. Let me know what you find there! Since Utz is so big now, I bet they have factory tours.

I think the time has come for me to wind down and head to sleep. Just watching the last 8 minutes of the Bruins game.
I am heading back to work tomorrow, I really don't want to go back. I feel like I let everyone down by missing the last week, and heading back feeling less than 100% isn't helping, I will make it as far as I can. It is the fatigue that will get me, as it has been by doing remedial things around the house.

Merry Morning and Happy Pines day all :dance:
Mr Festive has gone into work, he is still unwell though. I just hope he doesn't make himself worse. My eldest was up through the night with a high fever and cough. He might be off for the rest of the week , I'll see how it goes. I collected his homework from school and can help him catch up with some of the work he is missing.

My youngest and I are feeling fine, hopefully we will avoid coming down with anything.

Another good thing is , I think I can safely say that I escaped the PCBs this year. I think this is the first year that I felt good about it. I am not suffering the winter blues just yet either even though the weather has been harsh.

I hope everyone is coping through January and staying positive.

These gray hairs seem to be coming in quicker & quicker these days. Not too much going on afterward. I hope to have a relaxing afternoon. I'm still so darn tired. We'll see what happens. Oh I forgot to mention that we decided to name the new kitty Sasha. We were undecided for a few days but Sasha kind of grew on me, sounds like a good kitty name.

I have a couple ration books from the family from that era, too! Fascinating stuff. Both sides of my family were farming during WWII, and they told me that to get enough rubber tires for farm equipment and enough sugar for curing meats and canning, they sometimes had to deal with the black market. My mom remembered gathering milkweed pods---manufacturers used the fluffy stuff inside to make filler for insulated jackets for the military.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another decent day with a high around 40 degree's. It looks like we might see some snow flurries this afternoon though. I have a few things to do real quick around here this morning and then I will head to the hospital. The doctors usually come around between 9 and 10 am so I want to be there before then. That way I can get a sense if mom will be released today or not. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

A really nice day yesterday, with our high reaching 67 degrees by the afternoon.
Should be a tad cooler today, then we return to cold figures by the weekend.
(Just to remind us not to get too cocky at this time of the year!)
