Thank you! I'm doing pretty well, just tired. Looking forward to sleeping in on the weekend!
How are you?
x

I'm ok but tired.
Looking forward to the weekend when I can get a few things done outside

Evening all. Day off today taking Jonah for a check up at the hospital. Thankfully he's a clean bill of health and discharged, so that's a weight off. One if my sales team members leaves tomorrow as he's going to France to live. We had a dinner for him on Tuesday which was nice. Great lad and a big loss.

Evening, 'Tis~
Glad that Jonah's appointment went well today.
Sorry to hear that you're losing such a great guy & associate. Best wishes to him.
Hope you have a blessed night!

That's unfortunate. At least you get meatloaf, I guess? Your dad can also be thankful for his final golf game, too. I must say I am a little jealous of that slice of apple pie!
We wound up being the hottest place in Canada by the late afternoon. Weird weather this time of year, hot one day and -2 the next. I enjoyed a nice long weekend though and brought a meatloaf sandwich to work and everyone was jealous. My dad made the pie himself, he hasn't done that for a while.

Good Evening all!

I have a confession....I just cannot do Mondays anymore, just can't, uggghhhh....I would like to boycott them from here on out! I say we do 4 tens and then have a 3 day weekend after that.
Just a suggestion, that's all.......

I got home from work and found out that they had taken my wife's grandfather to the hospital at 3 am last night because he was very sick. The doctor to my MIL that his stomach was twisted???? And that since he has dementia and other illness, he was very combative because he was confused, especially when they tried to put a feeding tube in him. They had to restrain him and both my wife and my MIL are very upset this evening. the doctor said that if it does not correct itself, they will have to operate on him to correct it and the recovery time is 6 weeks with a feeding tube in him the whole entire time. At 94 years old, my MIL said that she cannot put him (her father) thru any more suffering and would not approve the surgery. My wife agreed. I hope and pray that it corrects itself.

That sounds horrible and the poor dear doesn't understand what's happening; I'd be fighting them off too. Got your covered with thoughts and prayers in the Northern Sector.

Don't you hate those times when a bunch of expensive repairs are needed all at once? We've had dental work (both of us), car repairs, and a new water heating system, all in two weeks. This has to stop!

The "check engine" light turned out to be $800+. Ouch. Some kind of road debris slashed an emissions filter open, and that set off the light.

That's unfortunate, I was hoping for a mis-read of some sort. Must say the $1,200.00 we had to toss into repair my car (that I thought was just noise in the trunk) made a big difference. Drives better than it used to, but I would have preferred to spend that money on something else - a new sofa would have been nice.

Happy Pines!! Hope everyone is having a good afternoon. I am just working away..not up to much tonight. Possibly hitting the gym if I can get motivated.

I broke in the new Nikes yesterday and again today - they fit!!! And they work. Funny what new work out items or music can do to motivate me. My ribs hurt. I asked my husband if he thought it was possible for your ribs to shoot through your skin. He said, "Only in your Halloween brain, dear."

That's a sad game, thinking about where one would have preferred to spend the money spent on unexpected expenses! But at least we get better teeth, a safe car, and hot water. (That is, when they come back and adjust the water heater tomorrow. We ran out of hot water---my morning shower was just warm, and I can't get any hot water this evening. Annoying!)

Wish I could stick around longer, but I'm a bit wiped from working all day after my work out this morning and having 5 days off work. Today, was my Monday, but it still felt like a hump day.

Keep a merry thought in your head; I'm off to bond with the O'Cat.

Yeah I think I buy more "workout" clothes than nice clothes. But then again I rather live in comfortable clothes. And in terms of music motivating you...my friend says I like "angry music" but that type of music I guess fires me up on the weekend to run harder. I play it while I'm parked getting ready to run...people coming by probably think I don't seem very friendly lol.

I did have some...it was good. I think that I enjoy Chinese food because I don't eat it very often anymore. I'm much more into pizza on a regular basis.
Glad you enjoyed it~
Yep, I could eat pizza just about everyday.
Of course, I'd hate myself if I did, ha
