I watched It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown last night with my doggies. The grandkids had other stuff going on so they could not make it over but I got to spend the last few days with them and will see them again this week.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!
Glad you had your sweetie's around you!
Harlowe watched it with me, too =]
Have a blessed day, CAH!

No, not that I could see. There was smoke or steam coming up from it or the glass, though!
LOL, I think so! :D
YIKES!! I'm guessing Har was laughing at you!! :p

Merry Pines Day, MMC!

Good morning (and afternoon) you all! Up early for a work meeting over breakfast with some residents. Loved watching Charlie Brown last night! Looking forward to watching it again next Thursday! The holiday season (which includes Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) is here!

Last day of work for my husband and I as we get ready to leave tomorrow on our trip for our anniversary! :) So excited to get into the mountains for a long weekend away!

We need it after yesterday--MAJOR unexpected car bill. Support group members UNITE! And Carl, please have a drink ready for us!!!!!
Oh, no! Support members at the ready!
(For me, too. The expensive dental work I needed recently ... insurance says I'm not covered for it ... felt a little sick when I realized we won't be getting anything back ... :( )

I enjoy them all, but Linus quoting the Christmas Story puts the Christmas one above the others. I have a Hallmark ornament that is ball ornament with the Peanuts nativity scene on it & the scripture quoted. I got it while DH & I were dating. In the years when we put up our "Hallmark tree", I am very careful with it. It's one of the least expensive ones we have from Hallmark, but one of my favorites!

We missed The Great Pumpkin last night because we were at dinner for a niece's 12th birthday. We have it on DVD, so we'll get to it!

All of my co-workers are at a conference through tomorrow. I'm listening to classic Christmas music & I lit a "winter" scented candle. It smells like burning wood mixed with something I just can't place. I have my coat wrapped around my legs because it's chilly in the office. I'm having myself a Christmassy time while I'm alone!
Sounds like a very festive day!!! Enjoy!!

I agree the Christmas one is the best. Enjoy your Christmas feeling you have going!

Thanks, me too.
I was trying so hard not to laugh- Adrian, he doesn't do well with early mornings, and I had to wake him out of a deep sleep. He just seemed confused, and said how on earth do these things happen to you? ;)
Bah hah ha! :p:D We can laugh now since everything was ok!

My neighbor voted for me to keep the Christmas Tree up and suggested certain fall decorations to put on it. That makes 10 votes to keep the tree up! I will manage to drag this poll out until November 1st! Yay!
:jump
Perfect!

LOL, it is. But it scared the you know what out of me
I was sitting there, on the couch-in the living room, fireplace on, drinking coffee. When all of a sudden I hear a crash and the fireplace glass had fallen off, landed on the carpet, and it was HOT. So, I was afraid that it would start a fire, laying on the carpet. It was so hot that I had to run & get oven mitts to even lift it. I didn't know if being exposed directly to the gas was dangerous, so I had to wake them up so Adrian could help me get it back on. So, here we are struggling not to burn ourselves, I have coffee all over my work clothes, the floor, etc. It was frustrating & comical!
Har was anxious at first, then brought me her ball, wanting to play!
Oh no! So glad everyone is okay! You sound too much like us, when something frightening happens but everyone ends up okay we manage to laugh about the mishap. That could have been serious though so again, happy all is good now!
Merry Afternoon all,

I managed to pick up some Halloween candy today. I am not sure how long it will last as it is already calling to me. What's wrong with me! I don't usually eat sweets but it's always the same every halloween. It's like a candy spell has been cast upon me!

I am having a festive mince pie with a ginderbread tea before I go pick up the boys. I am not all that into them but I like to have one especially when they first come out for the season at the bakery.

Have a nice afternoon all.

When I buy candy for Halloween I buy the ones I don't like BUT are popular with the kiddos. That way I stay out of it! I love most chocolate but not a fan of the sweet and sour stuff that kids tend to love, like my grandkids do. No worries of me touching that stuff! Lol!

Happy Pines day. Our son went back to college yesterday evening. We enjoyed having him home for his fall break. Always tough to see him leave. As planned, we binge watched the entire 4th season of Longmire on Netflix over the weekend. Hopefully they will renew it for a 5th season.
The weather was nice while he was home. We had a frost every morning. Sadly it is forecast to warm up for a few days.

Have a blessed day.
So glad you had a nice time with your son. Is he coming back home for Thanksgiving?

Oh no ~ sorry to hear insurance won't cover it. UGH!

At first, I think she was nervous. LOL. Adrian yelled "ouch!" when it was hot to the touch, then she was jumping all over me like "is he okay?". I calmed her down, then she wanted to play :D
She probably thinks we're nuts :p

I haven't seen anyone post anything about the movie Love, The Coopers. Who's planning to go see it? Looks kinda corny but seems like a good reasons for the girls in our family to go see a Christmas movie together!!

Thank you, CAH~ Yep, I had a good laugh for sure!
Adrian probably won't even remember it, ha ha!

She's so cute!!! Buster use to laugh at us all the time - literally laugh! He would grin really huge & then kind of make a sneeze sound. Goofy animals!

I am definitely going! Stellar cast, and reminds me a bit of The Family Stone premise. And that is one of my favorite movies! <3
If I remember correctly, it's from the people who brought us The Family Stone.

Definitely one to get a big bucket of buttered popcorn & some chocolate too, to go with it =]

I believe there was a thread about it, when it was first announced.

Thanks for posting the trailer!!
