Christmas Countdown - 2015

Another Friday-Eve is upon us. One week from tonight we'll be counting down to the season. Unbelievable. I actually have my 2nd in-class exam for my Calculus class that evening 6:-730 so by the time I get home, eat a little, shower, wind down I'll be probably either really tired or wide awake for the live countdown :). But for today let's just try to have a good day and smile at the fact that we are sailing right towards the Christmas season!

It should be. It's awfully tempting to do so, especially since I installed a new bluetooth speaker in my shower! ...but, I think it will be all worth it when the clock strikes midnight in nearly a week's time! :D

Well, a dry day at last!
Well, not really dry. It didn't rain, but the moisture from the last several days stuck around, making for a damp day.
I'm hoping for a truly dry one today, although we have started out still soggy at 64 degrees.

Good Morning, Everyone! The weather here the last few days has been unseasonably warm, but oh so nice (60's-70's)! Today is the last day of "nice" weather. I am ready for the colder weather. All the gross bugs woke back up so we have box elders, asian beatles, flys and bees flying around. And spiders running around everywhere. I say FREEZE them good!! Lol! It is also just nicer putting up Christmas when it is cold and you are cradling a hot beverage. Am I right? :)

Local elections are over, and I've spoken with all of the candidates, winner and losers, to congratulate or console on behalf of Bellville. Those that lost the mayoral elections were all very positive, especially the current mayor of nearby Claxton. I worked for him while I was in college, and I've always had a great deal of respect for him. He lost by 24 votes, but he said if he had to lose, he's glad he lost to Terry, who will do a great job. Classy.

Now I have to take down all of the temporary election signs that they all rented from me. Lots of work to do this week.

How FUN would that be if my Browns would knock off the Bengals tonight!!! :p:D But I'm surely not holding my breath! ;) My hubby is a Bengals fan & also a UPS driver so when he came down in his BROWN uniform this morning I had to have a little fun with that!! Always knew he was truly a Browns fan!! Ha ha! He gave me a big eye roll! And then when he saw that Gracie had a Browns "necklace" on he tried to tell me she was a Bengals fan...HA! I don't think so...she doesn't meow....she says WOOF WOOF!! :p:D Jim is off work tomorrow & the game is only available on the NFL network (which is a bunch of bologna!) so we'll be going out with friends to watch the game tonight!
I can't say enough about how good "The Intern" was last night. Such a great flick! Mom forgot to put her hearing aids in so I'm not sure how much of it she caught. Darnit! I guess we'll have to buy it & watch it again at her house when it comes out on DVD! :)
Before the movie last night I took down Halloween decs & put up Thanksgoving! You know what's next....

The spiders have erupted! Gross! On Tuesday here they were everywhere! The same type of little black spiders. And we had big, long, thick spider webs floating all through the air & laying in the grass. It was disgusting!!
Last night while putting up Thanksgiving decs I had the windows open & attic fan going to pull the air through. Crazy! I am enjoying it though. But I agree - I like a chilly Thanksgiving & snow to decorate the Christmas tree is nice too!
