Do they have the original fruitcake from over one hundred years ago at the bakery?LOL Claxton is my home town! I went to Claxton High School, and we lived in Claxton until Nancy and I moved to nearby Bellville. The owners of Claxton Fruitcake live in Bellville, too.
My mom said she's seen it for sale in the PX when dad was stationed in Germany, too.
Don't worry, though; no offense is taken. No one around here eats that stuff, either!

The Nutcracker Ballet premiers tonight! I look forward to this every year, and tonight is even more special...it's Elizabeth's 15th birthday, and our 21st anniversary! Our anniversary has taken a back seat for the last, oh, 15 years, but our daughter is the gift that keeps on giving!
After the ballet, we're taking her out to eat, then to the late-night premier of The Hunger Games. She's a big fan, and we're taking her best friend with us. It's going to be a looonnnggg day. Whew!

Morning all and a happy Sunday. The snow hasn't materialised as the forecast predicted but never mind. Hopefully I can convince my wife to go decoration shopping today. You can never have too many baubles.

The ballet is beautiful! I've never been more proud of Elizabeth, and she absolutely shines on stage! At the risk of sounding like "one of those parents", we keep getting stopped by people who see her with us after the show, telling us how beautiful and talented she is. One of the cast members is an old professor of mine. He and his wife went on and on last night about Elizabeth. She handles the attention very graciously; better than I do LOL!
We have one more show this afternoon, then the whole family is taking her out to eat for her birthday. Another nice day on tap!
