Good morning, everyone!

Well, we finally received what much of the rest of Ontario has been getting over the past week or so. Yep. Snow has arrived in Ottawa. We had about two inches fall overnight. Just enough to cover the ground and force me to brush off the car. November 24th seems about the right day for this to happen. No complaints here.

Yesterday was a little busy with a quick gym visit, groceries, and sports. Everything was going swell until I collided with a friend in in mid-air and landed kind of funny on my ankle. Hopefully it heals throughout the day. I have dodgeball and hockey tonight. I don't want to miss either.

How about that countdown? In one month from today, we will have our final wake up before Christmas morning. The forum will be jumping and everyone in the world will be smiling, knowing that there is only one more sleep until Christmas!

I hope everyone started off their week on the right foot. If you're in the U.S., how could you not? You are only two days away from Thanksgiving! Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Merry Christmas!

(It's so close, you can almost taste the cranberry sauce!)

Days to Thanksgiving: 2 (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 31 (1 MONTH FROM TOMORROW!!)


Well, it's downright cold at this hour here in the capital city, where we stand at 33 degrees.
We had a chilly day yesterday despite plenty of sun. At least there was no precipitation of any kind.
Warmer weather is on the way, however!


Have a Teriffic Tuesday, Everybody.
And get all geared up for Carl's Thanksgiving bash tomorrow!

When we opened the window this morning - he likes to hangout there every morning and watch his squirrel friends run around - Simon saw snow. He kept looking up and down at it then back at Kim and I. Hopefully he enjoys looking at it for much of the next four months!

When we opened the window this morning - he likes to hangout there every morning and watch his squirrel friends run around - Simon saw snow. He kept looking up and down at it then back at Kim and I. Morning all. My presentation went well yesterday, over and done with for another year. I have one big customer event on Wednesday not to mention a 16 hour day and then things should be a little easier. Hopefully Christmas tree will be purchased on Thursday .

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Feel the anticipation building by the hour now instead of by the day since we're so close to turkey day. Yesterday was a long and busy day at work. I got a headache and I went home and fell asleep for an hour which as I mentioned yesterday I hardly ever do. I wound up going to bed and sleeping 7 hours afterwards still so I feel pretty energetic today. Ready for another busy day at work here but if I have to run through a brick wall today I will...to get to the Eve of Thanksgiving. We plan on leaving as early as noon on Wednesday but I'm thinking maybe it's more likely we leave by 1ish.
I hope you all have a great Tuesday...and keep believing in the turkey lol .

Good morning MMC! Happy Thanksgiving Tuesday!! I can't believe there are only 2 nights left to prepare before the big day! Crazy! Tomorrow night my sisters/nieces/Mom/mil are going to see the play/musical Mama Mia, so last night we went to Moms to watch the movie Mama Mia....now I'm really excited for tomorrow night. It's so entertaining! But that only leaves TONIGHT to get things ready for Thanksgiving! Good thing I'm not hosting! I was supposed to bring a pumpkin roll & sausage dressing to my sisters on Thursday but my sil said she has so many cupcakes left from the wedding & my sis has 3 pumpkin pies we probably won't need the pumpkin roll so I'm going to make sweet potato soufflé instead! YUM! I'll make the sausage dressing tonight (crock pot) so all I have to do is turn it on Thursday - and I can make the soufflé while watching the Macy's parade! But tonight I have got to get to the grocery. UGH! I don't mind the grocery during the holidays but I really need a Kroger trip this time & that place is just nuts!

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
I can't believe I forgot to tell you guys - my friends daughter will be in the Macy's parade this year. If you happen to be watching, keep your eyes peeled for "Boyd Dance Studios":
A BIG Congratulations to members of our
Performing Arts Company. They were selected to be apart of the dance company performing on NBC in the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City!

My friend & 2 of her daughters are in NYC now & look who they ran into...(my friends daughter is the one closest to Brad)

I can't imagine how excited they are!!

How awesome big Congrats to them for being in the parade and meeting Brad!! I love their smiles...such pretty girls!

Here I go again, "post and run". Sorry, got to go in a few!

I can say one thing that I didn't think would happen but I am ahead of schedule!!! Since I am hosting Thanksgiving I am usually running crazy up until that day getting everything ready. I managed to get a whole lot done yesterday so today I can chill a bit today, that way I can be ready for a lot of cooking tomorrow. My mom and I might go take a walk at the Arboretum today and grab some lunch. I am very excited that my oldest grandson will be joining me tomorrow to help bake and cook! We will have the Christmas music blaring so we can sing along and maybe dance around a bit - Lol! That's a must! Maybe when I get home I can actually read over the forums a bit and catch up with you all!

We had our office potluck Thanksgiving yesterday, and there's still pies, loaf cakes, tarts, and other goodies in the kitchen (some still unopened!) that people are noshing on for breakfast! Plus plenty of good stuff at home in stock for Thanksgiving Day.

When I started for work this morning, I saw the most beautiful frost pattern on my windshield. It would have made a beautiful carpet, or wallpaper, or a tapestry! I thought, what a shame I have to obliterate it to get to work on time ... doggone workaday world. Then later I realized: If it wasn't for the doggone workaday world, I wouldn't have seen that beautiful frost pattern at all! I would have been doing things inside the house. Sometimes it seems like things happen for a purpose!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! We are off to a chilly start but we are going to get up into the 50's today. So not to bad. I'm going to be spending my day boiling eggs, chopping celery and onion, peeling and cutting up carrots, making cranberry sauce, toasting some bread for the stuffing, and what ever else I find to get ready. I'm thinking of making cupcakes up too for my niece's to make into turkeys on Thanksgiving morning. They love doing stuff like that. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! This is the first time I have ever been ahead of schedule! Maybe I have been working too hard since I got over my cold because it just hit me that I think I need a nap! I went to work over the weekend while I was still feeling bad so it's hitting me all at once. The Arboretum might be put on hold and going to rest a bit! Another reason to be thankful I am ahead of schedule!
