Hey All-

We survived the storm here in CT...we got 24 inches and the school in my town are canceled for tomorrow but we did not lose power so I can deal with it.

Hope you are all stayed safe and everyone that is not feeling well..hope you are on the mend soon!

I am trying to decide on what to make for dinner...always a chore for me..we'll see.

I watched Christmas Vacation last night that always makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch it!

Good afternoon, MMC! Not much going on here right now. DH just went to pick EA from school a little while ago and is taking her to the dentist. I'm hanging out here with DS - we're watching Northpole.

Good afternoon,

The storm wasn't as bad as they were originally planning for us. We have 12 inches so far, but it looks like it has started to wind down. 45 minutes to the east of us in Auburn, MA they have got 32 inches so far.
I finally took down 2 of my trees today, 2 more to go. The room looks so empty without it. I still have 2 more trees to take down, maybe tomorrow.

Just resting and relaxing now.

I'm glad the storm wasn't as bad for you guys. We got a lot but I feel like it's not as bad as they made it out to be. The news really scared us with this one.

It went well for her - both of the kids were there last week; it was DS's first time. He discovered both of the kids had cavities. I had no clue and they didn't either. The dentist said their both great brushers and there teeth looked good, but he thinks it is a hereditary issue - their molars are growing in different - It's hard for me to describe. He said some kids teeth just aren't as strong, which he said it probably the case. Anyway, he also said, when children I guess get high fevers, that can also cause cavities, which they both had not that long ago. He's afraid it may happen until they get their permanent teeth, but I hope it doesn't keep happening.

If you do have your appointment, good luck! I really dislike that place!

Yes indeed … the travel ban is still on in my part of the state. I had a few jobs this morning, but none since, so it isn't so bad. Maybe one or two more before the day ends.

Did you get to stay home today? I hope so. You're probably through the worst of it now out west there. We're still getting some pockets of heavy snow on and off here.

I hope she will be, too. It seems like a no-brainer to me, but proving it by law is a whole different kettle of fish. I guess they have to be tough because of the scammers, but it makes it so much harder on those who have a legitimate claim.

It is very slow now, but I called out when it was coming down quite heavy.
They ended the travel ban around 1pm. We still may get another 5-10 inches when all is said and done.

Update: As of 5 p.m., the snowfall total for my town is 23 inches. If we get another inch overnight, that'll put us at 2 feet! :cold:
