I can post it when I'm finished, but I have a way to go yet. It's one of those that is all one color, but all sorts of textured stitches. It's in a shade of red called Holly Berry.

No, you're not a slacker. The idea behind crocheting is to relax and enjoy it ... if you put yourself on a timetable and set a deadline, the afghan isn't as warm!

A kinescope of a 1956 Lawrence Welk Christmas episode (we often kick off the viewing season with it), plus some short subjects and Soundies. Plus, Mr. found a 1954 TV variety show in which Gloria appears in a filmed musical number, but also in person! When he bought the film on eBay, he had no idea that it included a previously unknown appearance by her! So that was exciting.

Oooh, is it Red Heart With Love Hollyberry?? I'm only asking b/c I am using that in several of my afghans. Love that color.
And you are right - it can be stressful if you are on a deadline...which I am, but I plan to give it to her & take it back (Indian giver ) & then finish it in Jan/Feb.
I'm placing a bet that your afghan is beautiful!!!

Yep! I like working with Red Heart With Love yarn. It has a softer feel than the Super Saver, but isn't as limp as the Soft. I'm sure your gift will be lovely! I hope we can see a photo when it's finished. As for mine, thanks for the compliment---we'll see, when it's finished!

It was way awesome! Over the years we've discovered a few "lost" appearances by Gloria, and it's always a thrill. Then we get a second thrill when we share them with Gloria.

Been quite a while since I've posted on the forum. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello and hope you're all having a beautiful Christmas season. I think of everyone often and pray you're all well and blessed.

We've been traveling a great deal this year. Just got back and finally got our tree yesterday. Only took 2 days and 8 tree stands. LOL

I will post a photo when it's done. I'm not overly thrilled with it, but the friend I'm making it for picked out the colors & pattern- though she doesn't know it's for her! Tee Hee! And I agree - the with love yarn is one of my favorites to work with!!
