Good afternoon from the frigid midwest!

Praying all is well with everyone!

All is well here. Very busy and it isn't going to let up any time soon. Good thing I like to be busy, isn't it?!

Be warm and MERRY!!! :merry:

Glad all is going well there, Meceka!!!!! Hope you are finding a little to relax and not running yourself ragged!!!!

Good Afternoon folks, I'm sort of taking a break from caulking, spackling and sanding. I have completely taken everything out of the main floor powder room, and am almost done prepping it, so that Lisa can paint tomorrow.

But, slight problem, I have to head to Lowes, have to get another toilet bowl wax ring. I was leaning on the toilet and the dawg gone thing shifted/ twisted about an inch, that's not good. Once a toilet bowl does that, your supposed to put in a new wax ring. Well, maybe it was meant to be, because your supposed to replace them about every fifteen years and it been in there now for almost 12, so, there you go. Have to do it anyhow!

And might as well do it, since we are re-painting and such in there.

I still have plans to work on the electrical stuff yet today, maybe I can get to that later this afternoon or early evening hours... Well, off to Lowes...

I hate changing wax rings!!! LOL!!! Okay, they aren't that bad, as long as you have rubber gloves.

Good work with the electrical work tonight!!!

I see Maryland is covered under the "never" portion....LOL!!!! I love it Made, Good One!!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the next storm that is coming my way Monday night into Tuesday Night. It keeps on shifting North as the computer models keep on updating. I just went from 1-3 inches to the 3-6 inch category... I would be thrilled to get into the 6-12 range~

The bad part is, I'm in the never part too!!!

It's starting to look promising!!!

Woohoo!!! Hope it's right!!!

Good evening, MMC~

Good morning!
We made it home from the hockey game last night safe & sound. I'm glad my husband forced me to go, lol. We had a lot of fun, Islanders won 6-3. This storm should be moving out of here by this afternoon. It's so darn windy and cold out there. Looks like another system will be heading our way Tuesday in to Wednesday.
I found a message from my youngest when I woke up this morning. She texted me from her friends phone saying she dropped & broke her Iphone. I'm not happy about her making the trip back home tomorrow without a cell phone. I'm going to call her friend in a little bit to see if it is completely broken. It's always something.
Not too much going on for me today. I'm going to work on some daily chores but other than that it should be a relaxing day.
I hope everyone is well and has a Happy Sunday!
Keep warm and be safe!

:cold:

Sorry to hear her iPhone is broken, keep warm today.

I made a nice (heavy) breakfast for everyone; Ham steak, Fried potatoes and onions, eggs and cheese and Bagels and coffee...I got all the dishes washed, table and counters all wiped down, finishing my 2nd cup of coffee this morning and then it's time for work.

Gotta a list and I'm checking it twice. I have plans to sand down some walls and possible spackle some more, if needed, remove some light switches and install some occupancy sensors in heir place, work in the basement some and also install a new light, dimmer switch in Victoria's bathroom. Yes, a handyman's job is never done....

It's a good day to stay inside anyhow, that's for sure. Well, time to get to work, I stop by here later on to say hi and see how everyone is making out today! Especially with Xmas, Merry, HMG and others here, with that blizzard raging in New England~
I sure hope no one loses their power, IE....and their heat....

That was quite a breakfast, wish I could have joined you.
I wish I was handier than I am. It sounds like you are doing a great job fixing it up with the remod of her bathroom.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

My brother and I worked on the Camaro yesterday afternoon, and I'm learning a lot. I was up to my elbows in oil & grease, but it was pretty cool!

Jim's feeling better, but now I have a cold that's kicking my behind. Ugh.

Nancy stayed with her mom last night, but I hope it was the last night since we're planning to bring Mrs. Hilda home this week.

The kids & I are going to mom's for lunch today.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I hope you feel better.

Good sunday morning! This morning when I woke up Brandi' gave me my belated vday present, I think she wanted to think she forgot, but I really didn't even think about it. She talked me into taking Monday and Tuesday as yet 2 more personal days and go into the Utah wilderness at 10,000 ft atltitude where there is suppose to be very very cold temps..we have rented a cabin with just a fireplace and bedroom, for 2 days away from civilization! this is what I was just talking about wanting so much. so we are leaving without the kids(which will be hard I know) but I think it will do us both some good. she is out of school mon and Tuesday anyways for winter break as they call it at her new school. I will bring my computer but the say reception is shotty. But I just wanted to tell yall. THey are talking about maybe some ice there Monday night too, as long as we don't loose electicity. Well I better go get ready for mass...have a great sunday everyone!

Sounds like a great gift, I hope you have a great time in the mountains with Brandi.

so happy the4 van started, reluctantly, but it started! Warming it up for about 15 min before I leave. Won't do much good because it is old and takes forever to warm up but might be easier on the motor to do this.

Enjoy your handyman-ing!

Happily, we still have power and heat. My main worry is the new snow load on the roof, and whether the ice dams will cause indoor leaking. Our plow guy shoveled off our roof Friday and cut channels in the ice dams for drainage, but I don't know if they're still open after the storm. The total accumulation of snow is so overwhelming that I haven't set foot outdoors. It kinda disturbs me to look out the windows. This is an epic winter for sure.

We aren't as bad off out west of you, but Boston & eastern Massachusetts are getting time on the news out here. It looks bad. I hope this snow stops flying for us soon, our ice dams are very thick and leaking is very possible for us.
